It's really sad that people like the self named "Prof." Lungu can freely post any garbage on-line to mislead and pollute the people. The below paragraph cut from the entire garbage from Prof Lungu is a clear indication that he writes for the sake of just writing any nonsense and post it on-line for some ignorant readers.
THE SENSELESS and USELESS ANALYSES FROM Prof Lungu TO CHALLENGE Dr. BAWUMIA:
=> "If Dr. Bawumia and the NPP truly understand corporate governance, international relations and performance as they represent, they will know that there are private and public sector costs to Ghana when he makes those false and unhinged statements. After all, foreign governments and corporations have their own interests. They recognize fools, liars, and traitors, and people who will do or say anything to get a vote or funds for their political party and personal agenda to boot."
"Prof" Lungu, come again and explain to your readers what it means! I wonder if you even comprehend what you write.
For how long will you be deceiving yourself with the title "Prof"?

Borkor, even a dunce would have no problem understanding this quote. Why don't you get off the high horse of subterfuge and think like a trained mind? The problem we have in Ghana is people like you and Bawumia who prefix their names with 'Dr.' claiming exclusivity of all knowledge and cognition.
Prof. Lungu is a moniker (pseudonym), and we all know that so calm down and use your head.

Thank you, Kwabena! We need many more like you to start a real rebirth of high Ghanaian integrity.
We do not need any embellishments to present the rot in any Administration or system. It is only when we know the exact truth of where our Economy sits that we could all brainstorm for the right leader to guide us to 'resurrection'.
We cannot and should not allow our clamor for change, assuming we all share in the hardships and endurance of the times, to blind us to the relevant facts needed to make a choice for leadership. Certain issues demand that we transcend the Partisan boundaries for lasting effective solutions.
May the Good Lord give you more protection and courage to stay with the truth at all times. We all need that prayer, too.
Long Live Ghana!!!

I have always maintained that reforming our schools to equip our people with cognition is the only solution to Ghana's myriad problems. The crass ignorance in society is seriously undermining our conscious effort to develop the country, it is a fact that knowledge and intelligence are synonymous to development.
Ghana experienced phenomenal growth under Kufuor and his NPP from 2001 until 2007 not because of what Kufuor did. I have always maintained that JA Kufuor was the most luckiest President in our history, but sadly the most useless and most corrupt. Any Ghanaian leader, even incompetent John Mahama, would have been celebrated between 2001 and 2007 because of both internal and external factors that contributed to Ghana's growth for the period under consideration.
1. Internally, the smooth transfer of power in the 2000 elections from Rawlings to JA Kufuor against the backdrop of chaotic outcome of the Kenyan election and other elections elsewhere in Africa, brought tremendous goodwill to Kufuor and his NPP. The west took notice of Ghana's peaceful transfer of power and wanted to do everything within its power to help Ghana's fledgling democracy to succeed. The Scandinavian countries, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, etc., took the lead and forgave Ghana's loans, whilst Britain, Germany and US worked through IMF and WB. HIPC was the result of this initiative, and resulted in massive write-down of Ghana's sovereign debt as well as providing soft loans to Kufuor's government.
2. The external factor was the world economy. The American war machinery pumped so much money in the Iraq war, the world economy became flush with US dollars - about $3 trillion. This sparked off tremendous growth in the two most populous countries in world with huge appetite for imported goods, China and India. China and India were scooping up every raw material in every nooks and cranny of the world. For instance, in the advent of Kufuor's government in 2001, the price of gold was at $250 per ounce, and cocoa was $500 per tonne. But between 2001 and 2007, the price of gold and cocoa has risen to $1,860 per ounce and $2,500 per tonne respectively, which is unprecedented in our history.
Even countries in war-torn Liberia and Sierra Leone benefited from this world-wide economic upsurge. Check out the following GDP growth in the following table:
2001-2005 2006-2010
Ivory Coast 10.7 7.3
Ghana 9.3 7.3
Liberia 8.0 8.7
Sierra Leone 15.3 20.9
My point is that, despite the unprecedented growth in our history, which had nothing to do with JA Kufuor's government, JA Kufuor could have transformed our economy and given Ghanaians hope for a better Ghana if his government was as good as his minions want us to believe.

If Bawumia had claimed a 50% growth, we would not even have bothered.
People like Bawumia have for decades measured even their wishes against Nkrumah's record. So much so that they then start believing their wishes everyone's realities. In short, they start believing their own propaganda.
It is for that reason that we took pains to compare Nkrumah's record to the NPP record in the Final Paper we've posted on GhanaHero.com. And we did not even use data from the early years that even they in the NPP will tell you were Ghana's "Golden Age" of development. (We used the data for the period the West had their stranglehold on Nkrumah's government, (e.g. the 7%% engineered drop in the price of cocoa, etc.), as they were working on the overthrow).
Thanks again.

Let us acknowledge any shortcomings by the current Government. But we should not embellish or create our own facts to make the case against the Mahama Administration. I don't think we need any embellishment to criticize its big mess, especially all the Corruption in SADA, GYEEDA, Woyomegate, etc. Only the facts matter.
If you do not understand what Prof. Lungu meant by that extract you produced in your comment, you just simply chose not to understand it. But the facts Prof Lungu gave to disprove the claim of 500% growth of Ghana's GDP are verifiably correct.
I even initially gave Dr. Bawumia the benefit of doubt that he probably meant 50% growth and might have incurred a typo. So, stop being overly partisan to consider nothing but the facts as they really are.
I would rather admire more leaders who tell the truth and endeavor to help correct whatever mistakes that need be corrected than others who simply exaggerate their opponents lapses to give themselves more room to be commended in.
By the way, I seriously doubt that you are the real Dr. Bokor. If you surely are not him, please, be bold to reveal yourself for such a serious topic. Your contributions matter but only if you would stick with the truth. Don't hide behind other people's name to "Boko Haram" us.
