Have they ever listen? Would they listen? Is there any better being in mother Ghana than these murderous tribal bigots? You have hit the nail right on the head. Not a single person can be exonerated from being abusive. If you, a leader of a party can just get up and indult he President, how can you control your so called numerous communicators and spokesmen? Hasn't the npp demonstrated enough for us to know their agenda when they come to power under the leadership of Akufo Addo and his Akyem cabal? Ghana will be doomed under this old man. Just look the ugly noise all over. Why would you help pass a bill in Parliament only to turn round and blame the government of thieving? To score political points or what? It rather shows how empty and shallow minded people the npp is. We are yet to hear a single solutions to all the problems they have enumerated over the period. They lacked ideas and are just not fit to governor this country, especially with that old man, Akufo Addo as the leader. The man has nothing to offer mother Ghana. After all, who wants a violent man as President of this peaceful country? Has he yet solve the problems in his own party? Akufo Addo led npp are jokers.

This article is food for thought. The Danquah-Busia tradition n ever had a personality cult and that is why it survived the one-party state, the 1972 coup, the defeats of 1992 and 1996. It has always been an open transparent entity with no hero-worship. The author of the article is suggesting that the NDC has learned from the Danquah-Busia tradition. It has gotten rid of Rawlings as the sole focus and this has made it more of a political party. The CPP still talks of Nkrumah and that is why it is stuck on totall 5% of the vote. The NPP is however following the CPP in its folly. Your reply is to say that the writer does not like Akufo-Addo. It suggests how stale and sterile the debate in the NPP has become - everything is reduced to dislike of the man you folks are making into a god.

Pls do not change the fact that Ghana's economy is in shambles. Your strategy to make NPP the issue will not fly. Are you from Mars?Who in Ghana will honestly claim that They are not suffering? Our cedi is useless, light, water, school fees, transport fares, food,is a disgrace to even talk about and yet You have kept quiet about these gargantuan issues and talking about NPP. Did the NDC come to power talk about NPP or they came to power to destroy the lives of Ghanaians? The voters are not fools to be deceived TWICE. Your party NDC is not performing and that is the fact.NPP is not the issue, the economy is.

The economy is sin shambles. Who in Ghana does not know that the Economy is in shambles and that the NDC is mismanaging the economy. However, our voting history suggests that this cannot automatically translate into a victory for the NPP unless they work hard for it.
And working hard for it includes the very issues the writer examined as the canker which is eating right at the heart of the party. It is now almost impossible to give a fair and honest opinion without being tagged as anti-Nana. I think we owe it a duty to criticise even our own folks; only then will persons on the other side accept our criticisms even if outwardly they will be unwilling to do so.

With the end of the Second World War, the American Emprie was upon us. Untouched by the bombing (save Pearl Harbour) the US economy reached dizzying heights starting around 1945. Houses, cars, telephones, roads, you name it the US had it in boundless supply. Breathtaking technology, massive incomes, heck the place was so good that Martin Luther King and others swore to wait no longer for the slice of the American pie.
Surprisingly then the Republican presidential candidate's defeat at the 1960 election came as a surprise!! HOw on earth had this happened? Richard nixon was Vice President to Eisenhower and for 8 years he was no 2 to a very popular war time hero who had led the nation to wonderful new heights. Nixon could not lose the election could he? Someone forgot to tell Nixon that elections are not decided by economic issues alone. However, someone remember to tell the Democrats this.
Enter the super-handsome Democrat nominee for the White House John F Kennedy and his pretty wife and Nixon was beaten on election day in 1960.
Prosperity (or poverty) alone never decided an election
