Nkrumah was already a comrade and communist disciple before he arrived in the Gold Coast from London. And as we all know, communists don't have a place for opposition in their system. He, therefore, used the multiparty system as to ascend to power and turned around to demolish it step by step to prevent others from ever getting there.
Our recent political history would explain what I have just said above. When Rawlings usurped power from Liman and lunched his Cuban-Style Communist Dictatorship, there were always attempted coups and rumours of coups until he reinstated multiparty system and some semblance of democracy in the country. In a multiparty democracy and rule of law, the opposition and all stakeholders wait patiently for their turn to take power democratically. That is, if it is believed and confirmed that the incumbent is not using his position cunningly and unjustifiably to prevent them from coming to power democratically.
Therefore, democracy and the rule of law are the only guarantors of peace and preventers of political violence and not PDA.

Nana Addo will simply not get the chance to lead Ghana. He has failed to exhibit the leadership qualities required to lead the NPP which is rapidly becoming a party that does not respect its own constitution and tramples on the rights of the minority.

We were in this country in 2012 when his all-die-be die declaration was condemned by the clergy and most identifiable bodies. He was asked to withdraw that statement, but he has remain adamant, this is the reason why Ghanaians didn't listen to him when he embarked on his listening tour few month after that declaration which subsequently caused him the presidency; he make this confirmation on Star FM.
