As a college Prof, you do a great disservice to intellectual discourse on this media platform. You have every right to criticize the alleged payments and call it whatever you want, even as we await the results of the relevant parliamentary committee's enquiry into the alleged payments. What you cannot do is use this occasion, as you are noted to almost always do, to dishonestly call people names and distort historical facts. You appear to play the role of custodian of Ghana's political history, especially when it comes to the roles Jerry Rawlings and Tsatsu Tsikata have played in our recent political history.
First, Tsatsu was jailed for causing financial loss, if you care to know. Even the sentencing judge took the unusual step of emphasizing that Tsatsu did not, personally, benefit A CENT in that financial decision that sent him to jail.
Secondly, it is a shame that in order to insult Tsatsu with your custom vile language, you incriminated him in the terrible act of the abduction and murder of the 3 High Court Judges and the retired Army Officer in 1982, with no evidence whatsoever. I still have a copy of the report of the committee that investigated the murders,and the Gov't White paper, and nowhere was Tsatsu mentioned as having anything to do with the murders.
The ethnic hatred you display in your writings is very shameful, and for an academic, to say the least, that is very unfortunate.

We may be already refugees and second class citizens in our own country but that does not make deaf and blind to the truth. We know the root cause of dumsor is your Anti Akan hate agenda and because Akosombo is on Akan territory you have allowed mismanagement and neglect to practically put out of function one turbine after another. Fifi Kwetey says that the Volta region is the source and world bank of the NDC , and the lands /people of the Akans the bread basket to be exploited by them. My brothers keep your cutlasses sharpened and ready as just as when the European nations tried to enslave Germany into their breadbasket so must we soon teach them a lesson so that never again will they even dream of such a crime just like in Europe today. I stand by my assertion that Tsatsu Tsikata, who is the subject of the good old Prof's piece, had nothing to do with the abduction and murder of the Judges and the army officer. You can mention Captain Kojo Tsikata in respect to the murders but he has not been found guilty of anything, not even the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) found anything to link him with that terrible crime. I still believe we are a country of laws, so until someone is found guilty of a crime, I still think he/she is not guilty.
Banding around AFRC-PDC-PNDC, whatever that means, since they are not linked to anything, does not make your arguments any better.
You see, your ethnic hatred which is based on enthic superiority has been been the undoing, in electoral terms, of your side of the political divide. How many times have we heard the Prof tell us about his royal blood lineage, trying rather shamlessly, to tell us which royal stock he comes from. If you and your ilk think that the garbage spewed by the Prof on this platform adds to any decent political discourse, then you are worse than I thought.
For your information, the contributions of Tsatsu Tsikata to our national development, especially oil discovery, is something you and your ilk can only dream of. Don't believe me? Ask Sir Sam Jonah - read his piece on the subject in the Daily Graphic of September 16th, 2009.

This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year.'
This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger , called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “stupid buffoon”.
It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room'
Is this how low our presidency has been reduced to? So, couldn't Pres Mahama have denied the accusations by Obasanjo with hard facts without resorting to insults? Do you recall the huge billboards erected in Accra for Goodluck, before the Nigerian elections?
