The above statement contains falsehood at the basic level so the other claims cannot be taken seriously either.
Islam, since after the death of its founder, has been fighting among itself and against all others. The religion of Allah has never found peace since it was founded. A religion that is built on, and sustained by, war can never find peace. This does not apply to Islam alone.
The Shia in Ghana cannot try to extricate themselves from the violence perpetrated by their co-religionists. We in Ghana must fight all attempts to impose any faith on anybody by force and any attempt by individuals to fight God's war on his (God's) behalf.
In particular we must fight all foreign religious influences in Ghana. We must stop all religious aid from foreign countries. We must STOP the buildings of mosques, churches, synagogues, temples etc with monies obtained from foreign govts and organizations. They are EXPLOITING our poverty to sow violence and discord among us.
There is NO PEACE IN ISLAM. Do not believe anything they say to the contrary. Even Christianity only recently dropped its violent nature when religion became a strictly private matter in the countries in which it was ruling sway. Islam is yet to reach that stage where a person's beliefs are strictly his private affair and not something dictated by someone in a foreign country.
We must do everything to fight religious extremism in our country no matter if it is Shia, Shiite, Wahabi, Sufi, or whatever. It is the links of Islam in Ghana with foreign elements that is the danger in our society - not shiaism or shiitesm or Sufi or whatever.

Identifying the ideological roots of islamic terrorism and preempting terrorism from that angle is what non-muslim countries like ours will never do. How many times have we not heard our so called security come out to denounce terrorism as having nothing to do with religion despite the fact that the terrorists quote from the islamic scriptures to prove how islamic their actions are? By their actions these security experts are not interested in any root causes; they are rather interested in muslim sensitivities, not our security.

I mean, I have so many Muslim friends who are as cool as ice; they're just Muslims in name.
On the other hand, any Muslim who strictly and seriously believes every edict of the Koran is a potential killer. There is no moderate Islam, Islam is just Islam. Those who aren't following Jihad or hatred against those of other faith aren't practicing their religion.
