I also feel sad as well about such cheap polities about Kwame Dzokoto. Kwame was my senior at Tarsco and to date, he is one of the best guys I have meet when it comes to organizational structures. Kwame Dzokoto was one of the pillars who lifted the spirit of modern radio to western region. He was the one who make Dr Kweku Tin ( Angle Fm) to be well known today. Ghanaians should stop cheap politics and allow this great guy to enter there and I am very optimistic that Kwame will prove them wrong.

In the US and elsewhere, there are strong structures that have been built over many years needed to shape the destiny of the country's institutions. Structures such as the public service, judiciary, US Congress, US Senate, US Presidency, etc. These structures overtime have endured many tuneups and re-caliberation geared toward the perfection or near perfection of institutions for the nation's business. In other words, all institutions in most advanced countries are self-policing.
It is because of the strong structures and institutions in most advanced countries, that is why most Ghanaian professionals work so hard in western democracies as compared to their output when they are in Ghana. Yes, you can put a comedian in the US Congress or Senate, and the structures would compel him/her to perform.
There is a gulf of difference between Al Franken who was elected as a Senator in Minnesota in 2008 and Kwame Dzokoto, both of course are comedians. The difference is, while Al Franken is walking into a well oiled institutional structure that is fluid and highly regimented for production, Kwame Dzokoto is walking into a disheveled Ghanaian institution riddled with corruption and a devil may care attitude of its members. The old adage; if you go to Rome, you do what the Romans do, is well and alive in both US and Ghana.
