If Mahama hadn't stolen the nomination from his own party, I don't think NDC would have nominated and endorsed someone accused of inflating the price of airplanes by millions of dollars corruptly as their presidential candidate. After the undemocratic nomination and fictitious endorsement, he then slept in bed with the EC and Atugubah to steal the verdict of Ghanaians.
Mahama is not only leading the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana, he himself is very corrupt and rotten to the core. Ghanaians will surly get rid of him in the 2016 elections even if he is still in bed with the EC. The corrupt judges have been exposed and Ghanaians too are fed up with his corrupt and under-performing government. Just as Mr. Amidu rightly pointed out, he is soiling the good name of northerners.

I must state that I am rather disappointed in you for calling a colleague an IMBECILE when he only expressed his views on someone's unguided and vindictive statement.
All Pro. Aware seeks to say on Amidu's statement is simple. that if he thinks no northerner will never become president of the Republic of Ghana because JDM is supervising over alleged corruption, then no southerner too will ever become president or Vice because Amissah Arthur is a southerner partnering JDM; how difficult is this to understand? But because of bias you write garbage and even call a whole professor an imbecile. Which of you has exhibited more imbecility?

You need to get a grip of yourself Justice Ambomaje for there is nothing that smells bullshit like what you and others blow. Which parts of the Constitution of Ghana is Martin Amidu defending? Did it ever occur to you that a thief cannot stand on the constitution to expose wrongdoing of others as an excuse for their own violation of laws?
If Martin Amidu operates lawfully under the laws of Ghana in his so-called crusade for justice as a citizen then explain to me how Anas Aremeyaw Anas breaks the laws under the constitution acting as a citizen even if under a corporation that is technically not registered? How is the breach of registration any morally repugnant than Martin Amidu's use of insider information without authority? Remember Mr. Ambomaje that unlike Anas Aremeyaw Anas's unorthodox approach to exposing rot in society Martin Amidu uses information he misappropriated from government to draw unsubstantiated conclusions and accusations. Did Martin Amidu not claim to know former President Atta-Mills, late, refused to appoint to Ghana's Supreme Court bench a more qualified candidate out of retribution but kept his self proclaimed and self absorbed vigilante mouth shut while in his AG post? How is the selective vigilance doing favors for Ghana?

In fact, Justice needs to get a grip on himself. Insulting and attempting to belittle Azar the way he attempted is shocking. But, well, that's the politics of the day - politics of insults! Azar can easily make mince-meat of him, judging from the level of English he wrote.
I haven't met Azar before even though he was just a year or so behind me at Legon. But, we met on Okyeame in the early '90s. By then, he was already an Associate Professor of Accounting at Gainesville, Florida. He added the law degree to his academic records later. Azar by no means a hustler in the US, as he has shown by his capability to take constitutional cases to the Supreme Court of Ghana and paid all the expenses.
And besides, Justice must be the JJC not to know this and know that Azar is a dyed-in-the-wool NPP supporter and wouldn't bend to accept any favours from the NDC??? He simply doesn't need it! Just like myself, I must add, need no favours from any political parties in Ghana!
I have followed the fortunes of Amidu and his recent attacks on Anas. I was one person who commented on his "victory" against Woyome at the SC and took the position that the SC erred, and this was supported by our resident juris, Dr SAS. It was merely a technical victory based on the same principle as caveat emptor - let the buyer beware, which had since then been qualified with protection for buyers too under the principle of caveat venditor - let the seller beware under commercial laws, which are quite different from Treaties negotiated by Governments which their legislature must first approve before becoming legal. A good lawyer for Woyome and Waterville can therefore easily overturn that SC decision in an International court of arbitration. Ghana CANNOT be allowed to have their rogue govt leaders enter commercial agreements and then jettisoning them because they have found a cheaper Chinese supplier or a another company ready to give them a cut into their pockets, using the excuse of our equally corrupt Parliament not having approved or signed the contract! Amidu didn't impress me with his Pyrrhic Victory.
He is towing the same technical line in the Anas' companmy registration brouhaha. If he knows about what companies do, he should have known that some companies don't use their official registration names but some abbreviation of it in their public image. Anas and Co. have every right to use some acronym to portray their public image, just as I shorten my middle names to initials, and only very few people know what C stands for in my initials. Ha! ha! Incidentally Azar likes to refer to it as Cyril but it is not!
As for Amidu's declaration that Anas is doing things not specified in the articles of association or memorandum of association, that's, doing private investigative work that requires a special licence, that can be easily brushed aside too. Investigative journalism as has evolved in the West involved sting jobs and undercover work, just as Anas is doing. Yes, a lot can be overboard, like tapping telephones which got the guys at the News of the World into big trouble, forcing its closure. I don't read it but I bought extra copies of its last issue for purely speculative reasons. So, can Amidu give us some evidence that Anas had done something illegal too in uncovering the corrupt judges? He is making wild allegations of a cover-up but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I know already that Anas had done something on Parliament too; next to be released. It was in the news. Is Amidu saying that that has been shelved for good?
In my world, the end justifies the means when it comes to tackling the endemic and nauseating corruption in Ghana, just as same applies in the cloak and dagger world of national security.

Are you stating a fact or an opinion? Is Tiger Eye PI an abbreviated name, a subsidiary, or an artificial legal entity on its own? Stop confusing the public because what you have put out here does not help the national discourse. Martin Amidu is contending Tiger Eye PI is operating in Ghana in contravention of the Companies Act, which is a subset of Ghana's Constitution. Do you have a problem with this statement?
I noticed an over exuberant approbation of Anas' expose of corruption in the Judiciary from Ghanaian intellectuals and non intellectuals alike, which is very unfortunity. There are substantive issues that critical minds should peruse to their logical conclusions; issues such as, 1) is it constitutional for a sitting government to engage a private unincorporated company, instead of securities agencies, to undertake espionage on another arm of government? 2) is Anas' collaboration with government an absolution of crime? 3) Is it constitutional for the AG to grant immunity to Anas and his Tiger Eye PI? Does Ghana's constitution absolve a private unincorporated company to operate in Ghana without sanctions?
Do we as Ghanaians have a right and obligation to protect our constitution? I am shocked!!!

Of course, I am seriously stating a fact. Amidu was making a fuss about a slight difference in the registered name and what appears on their website.
And then, what the company does in the way of investigative journalism as a media house, which Amidu thinks was actually pure, covert investigative work which requires a different form of registration from the Minister of Interior, I suppose. not one from the Registrar of Companies alone. That claim is very much debatable, and hold that Tiger Eye is not in breach, since there is no law that says one must register as an investigative journalist before practising as one! And investigative journalists plant camera's and record people surreptiously. I live in the UK and it happens all the times,. e.g., bribe taking in rugby in order to throw matches was exposed that way. Journalists dressed as rich Arabs, and what not.
Now, I don't believe for a second that the govt hired Anas to carry out the sting job on the jobs as a way of revenging on the judges as Amidu claimed. That's bollocks!
Secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Anas co-operating with the govt to unearth corruption in the country. Won't waste my time debating that.
Of course, teh AG is absolutely right to grant immunity to Anas and his associates.
Indeed, we have the right to protect our rights under the Constitution by any means, including the use of violence, against such corrupt vermins as the judges and armed robbers! Video recording them and handing the evidence to the authorities is the least one can complain against. The sovereignty of the people is what is enhrined in the Constitution, not the protection of corrupt judges.

As such, we will not bother saying much, further, other than these 2 points:
1. We hope that prior to holding this brief for Mr. Amidu, "Columnist: Ambomaje, Justice" knew that it would meet the approval of Mr. Amidu.
2. Even if we do not agree with Professor Kwaku Asare 100% of the time, his track record is one of the brighter stars for commentary on Ghana. (It is self-evident for all to see, and know, even for super "lazy researchers").

His "track record" cannot insulate him from his prejudicial comments against Martin Amidu, especially when the later has made very serious allegations against the covert operation involving Anas' Tiger Eye PI and its paymaster the NDC government. What is going on between Anas and the government borders on criminality and I expected Kwaku Asare to use his "luminary" mind to assure fellow Ghanaians that all is well. Kwaku Asare opened himself to attack when he interjected his vaunted opinion in the heated national discourse by calling Martin Amidu infantile without proper and adequate prognosis of the issue at hand.
