Kwame, Mahama has succeeded in reducing Commission of Enquiries to mere propaganda. A day is coming when right thinking people will have the guts to reject membership to such scams in his face.

To answer your question, Dr. Okoampa-Ahoofe, without apologies Ghana is loved by those who have love for nation and not for those who would put their own parents on a slave ship if it ever came down to it. You see, Dr Okoampa-Ahoofe, intellect is not wisdom for wisdom comes to those who are principled, morally balanced and with conscience. Yes we struggle in Ghana and pull no punches or hold an everlasting grudge against folks who foolishly thought claiming to be a multi-party democracy would wipe away all our problems.
Do you Dr. Kwame and numerous other under educated and classroom educated but ignorant people here at home and the Diaspora think some of us do not see all the migration by those who wanted Ghana without Nkrumah and his CPP or one party state but lacking in ideas, ideals and foresight cowardly run to industrialized nations and now selfishly throw stones at Ghana? Do you think America's founding fathers would be remembered even unto this day if they all runaway after gaining their freedom from the British? No America's founding fathers and people worked through unimaginable hardships to have a nation they can be proud of; you and the selfishly coward majority who rejoice in the 1966 coup but could not stay around for either a national rebirth and development are the very ones who post articles to incite what is left of the dummies with the same knack as those of you in the Diaspora.

Because that was what the national junior team was called in the olden days before he moved to the diaspora more than 30 years ago. Those days there were no well organized youth competitions even at global level. The U-20 started in 1977 and U-17 in 1985.
The U-20 team is now calked mostly Black Satelites and today's youth may not even remember it was once called Meteors.
This idea of our being the Black Star of Africa started with the CPP regime of Nkrumah. We were the first black nation to agitate for and get independence so we're a black star even if the term is strange since a heavenly star cannot be black. But we continued using it: Black Star Square, Black Star Line, black this, black that...
It took crazy turns with our national sporting teams: Black Sticks (land hockey), Black Bombers (boxing team), etc. The number one sport, male soccer, made all celestial bodies black - meteors, Satelites, comets, moons, etc.
We put a black star in our red, yellow, and green flag. When in 1960 many African countries got independence, they also chose the same colours. Cameroon simply changed the position of the colours and put a yellow star, rather than a black star, in the middle. Now, you cannot identify Ghana in international gatherings by her colours - at least 15 other African countries have the same colours!
Well, in the beginning, the black star was shining. Today it doesn't shine anymore. Any wonder? Black things can hardly shine. You have to polish them excessively before they shine like varnished ebony. And we're finding it difficult to do the polishing...

So, to you, staying at home mismanaging everything is wisdom? Loving ones' nation means staying at home doing nothing but stupid politics and running down the country? Yeah, I know, that's wisdom!
Unbelievable!

It is painful, it is disheartening, it is demoralizing... There's no word to describe the sentiments one has, to think about how Ghana is doing.
