When I buy fuel, I ask the attendant to stop when the pump automatically cuts off. No top ups no round ups. The idiot will always round m up to the next whole number......

And so, we are wondering how Uncle Ebow missed that one, ..."THE AVERAGE GHANAIAN BELIEVES TOO MUCH IN THE SO-CALLED GOD..."
It affects critical thinking, success at work, and even challenge of authority that has not earned respect.
ITEM: For example, when Ghanaian politicians tell the public that they have been anointed by God, does Uncle find out what his listeners think about that? What ought to be the appropriate response by Uncle Ebow and his "listeners".
That said, we are a bit bewildered about "3. Attitude to service....//...Ghanaians are very pleasant people, especially when it is not our duty to serve you. When a Ghanaian knows he will not be paid to serve, he serves with enthusiasm. As soon as a Ghanaian knows he is being paid to serve you, he develops a very negative attitude to service..."
WE SAY: This is also a mystery to us only because we've never seen that one in Ghana. We know there is poor service. But, with always found that if you tip (pay extra), you get better service and response.
IN FACT THAT IS EXACTLY HOW GHANA IS RUN - BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION.
In that sense, "it makes sense".
Finally, we need to be careful about these "common sense" attitudes and behavior. What research does Uncle Ebow provide to back up his claims.
In fact, this is another part of the problem about Ghana. A lot of people, including politicians, scholars, and administrators, etc., talk a lot, but always without the benefit of data.

A useless minister was asked why Ghana had become a dumping grounds for foreign electronic and toxic waste, to my surprise this stupid minister said we should blame the foreign government for sending their waste to Ghana. What do you expect when Swahili is the most subscribed course in our universities? Someone once said a dog in UK has a higher IQ than the average Ghanaian. If we were not so sick, our presidential lounge at the airport would not be used as a drug trafficking hub. If we are not so sick, our Ghana airways plane would not have been turned into a restaurant.(Even the Ethiopians without any resources are flying high in the sky). If we are not so sick,our radio and television stations will not allow madmen like Kumchacha, Obinim, TB Joshua(con men) to destroy the brains of our people while Malaysian children build robots and program computers. The truth is we are a very useless generation. We cannot be helped. When we talk of development in Ghana, we are referring to shopping malls!!! What a waste we are! The country is run like an 'ashawo line'. Damn useless country where judges collect goats as bribe. We need the whiteman to guide us because we can never think for ourselves. I mean NEVER. We cant even cure our own diseases let alone write our own science books. I am moving to Ethiopia by next week.They have a vision and they are forward thinking. Very soon Korle bu hospital and ridge hosp. will be transformed into a prayer camp. That is how clever and religious we are. I am leaving because we are not civilised, if we were, we will not be practicing female Genital Mutilation in this day and age. I refuse to be part of this madness
