Is he obliged to disown it? Yes. Unless he is a fool, he should know that close spokesmen of yours cannot break out, on their own, to make highly emotive statements, in a highly-charged political atmosphere, without implying that they have your tacit consent!
Embarrassing statements by one's close aides have always led to their being sacked -- because, of course, in their jobs, they are expected to know that sensitive statements that can be indirectly traced to their boss, will compromise the position of the boss ad should therefore not be made. If made, the boss should immediately disown it.
Kwabena agyepong, Afoko, Andrew Awuni, Agyekum -- all these people have been close aides to Kufuor. Yet they are the greatest suppliers of ammunition to the NDC rented press.
Kufuor cannot see that?
Is Kufuor loyal to the NPP or to CANDIDATES for the NPP flag-bearer position?
Did Kufuor agree with the judgement given by the Supreme Court on the 2012 elecion? If he didn't, did he say a word about it? What about Kyerematen? Did he say a word?
They didn't say a word because they are the only "statesmen" in Ghana?
Let them do their worst. The majority of people in the NPP have thrown their lot with Akufo Addo and he will win by all means, despite the tribalism and personal vendettas.NPP people are watching. They wonder: why is it that whenever these people speak or act, it is detrimental to our great party?

SO I ASK CAN ALL THIS STUPIDITY BE THE FAULT OF PRESIDENT KUFOUR AFTER HE HAS LEFT OFFICE LONG AGO, ALAN KYEREMATEN AFTER HE HAS BEEN SOUNDLY DEFEATED, KWABENA AND AFOKO EVEN WHEN TGEY WERE BOTH NOT NATIONAL EXECUTIVES. What blame do we apportion to the Flagbearer, Mark Manu, Sir John, Lord Commey, Ken Ofori Atta, Kennedy Agyapong and the real war lords with the war chest. Were they mere spectators to this comedy of multiple errors.
