I am sure they know what the law stipulates to apply for the removal of a name from the register, why is the NPP acting outside these rules?
Unless there are no rules or procedures to remove names from the register, but if there are rules (which was outlined during the forum), why is the NPP not following these rules? It appears they have decided the only way they can win the next election is for a new register to be compiled. Dr. Mac Manu recommends the use of the Nigerian infrastructure to compile the new register. However, they failed in their submission to answer the following questions:
1. How will the new register, using the Nigerian equipment, eliminate the incidence of minors registering?
2. How will the new register, using the Nigerian equipment, eliminate the incidence of foreigners registering?
If these two question are not answered comprehensively then opening a new register will be an execise in futility. In the absence of a primary database (such as a National Citizens Register) to which a new register can be checked against, the only option is to surgically cleanse the register.

The seriousness of the NPP allegation that the nation's voters register is flawed in some ways and that there is a need to have a new one in its place, is being given an 'Akua Donkor' treatment. Specifically, the alleged insertion of foreign nationals names on the register is a criminal offense and it is to be taken as such. I am surprised the Police or the National Security have not made any move till today, either to the offices of the NPP or the Electoral Commission. By contemporary Ghanaian standards, this should be assumed normal! Is there any wonder that there are ghost names on government payroll, National Service Secretariat; fake national passports, fake educational certificates etc etc. These are sure signs of a nation in decline.

Npp submission could have been done without all the haloobalooo by other parties who found nothing wrong with the register. What were they coming to contribute if they found nothing wrong. The EC knows that it is illegal to obtain another countries voter's register, so they are asking NPP to provide it, the next thing is to find out how they obtained it and that will lead to another trouble for NPP

The EC said submit evidence that is acceptable in Ghanaian law and you are submitting a Togo register. How do you use a Togo register to determine who is a Ghanaian and who is not? The NPP case is a really sad one.
