You see compiling a new register means nothing. It's the attitude to cheat which has to be changed. You can compile registers every month but we would have others protesting because they have been outwitted.
Watch the amount of insecurity that will take place during the registration. This will be a rehearsal for 2016.
Anyway don't worry Nana will die in July 2016.

If the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission hasn't come out with a decision on this matter, how can you in all honesty describe her as resisting the calls for a new voters register? In any case has the NPP the right to 'demand' for a new register? Does the Constitution not guarantee the independence of the Commission? I'm highly disappointed with Mr Duodu at the partisan nature of his writings of late.

This does not detract from the achievements of Dr Afar-Djan. What do you say about someone who wants to annul the votes of millions of votes so he can be made president.
A more impartial discussion of the subject would have enhanced your reputation. I know whose reputation I respect - yours or Afari-Djan's

We are guessing when two "respectable" thieves who were chiefs agree on anything, we should all be for that thing they say is important to do!
How is it that what one with an indemnity clause behind his back says is the important thing the "free people" must do, Mr. Duodu?
In sum, we could say that all that Mr. Duodo has proven is that the Dr. Afari-Djan was not a micro-manager. That, we could conclude.
Further, as we've proven, the Bawumia Power Point slides that started all of this is full of more gas than evidence.
More important, all the reports we've seen from the last elections provide recommendations for ensuring voting is better organized next time. A new register was not one of those recommendations.
So, the question still remains: where is the guarantee that every "party" will accept the "new register", or the election results next time, just 13 months from that elections, after Ghana borrows money for that "new register"?
What a life!

Uncle I was in primary school when I started your articles in the Daily Graphic. As I grew, although I did not like the right wing tilt of your writings, the quality of your work was enough for me to continue to read your pieces. You lost me here, uncle. You think because there is a groundswell of agitations, because Dr. Afari Gyan lost some of his credibility at the latter stages of his tenure (especially at the Election Petition hearings at the Supreme Court), because Presidents Kuffour and Rawlings (although the latter's call was more conditional)back the calls for new register, because some groups, some very clearly doing the bidding of the NPP, because of all of these calls, the new EC chairs should just succumb and just agree to prepare a new register. The framers gave the EC and its commissioners the independence they need for a reason. You mean as long as there are agitations, the EC should not act independently any longer but just accede to the demands of agitatiors. The appointing authority appointed independent minded commissioners not stooges.
What is mind boggling is that, the Commission has not made any decision yet, yet it is being called names as if a decision has been made. Why can't we wait for the Commission to perform is constitutionally mandated function. We have the right to agree or disagree with whatever decision the commission makes. Until then, by all means we can apply pressure for our preferred view point, what we cannot do is accuse the commission of something they have not done .
No decision has been made yet. Let's all relax and wait.

Do you not know that even if a new registration is decided upon, it will take time to organise? Doesn't the EC's silence imply that it wants to perpetuate the status quo? Isn't that why people are calling on the EC to decide quickly so that machines can be ordered and tested so that we don't run into the problems of the past again? Why some asses want to comment on things they know nothing about, I don't know. Maybe it is because to some people like Jojo, the ofgfice-holder never does wrong! That is how we allowed the dictato9rship of Kwame Nkrumah.
