Since when did we allow media houses to be houses of moral authority in Ghana in place of parents and community of people with vested interest? Hardship in Ghana did not start yesterday; it's been worse with generations before but the society was held in place by leaders of churches past who knew a thing about morality, principles and love for country.
Tell me if it's the media that tells young women to sell their assets to get ahead in Ghana or tell the powerfull in society to buy young women while corrupting rest of society? I do not believe any media house ever told Ghanaians about the perks of being terrorists but that did not stop a KNUST engineering graduate of Muslim faith from joining a terror group in the Middle East.
What we have in Ghana is greed brought on by people and the churches that preach of property seeking world in which in does not matter how riches are attained; there are questions asked if one is rich by fair or foul means. Is the author implying that the people of India, the Americas (north and south) across Europe should be facing extinction because of the movie industry? It has not helped either when ugly ducklings can bleach their skins to be lighter in skin tone to have most men admire that kind of crap. We will come to understand what is meant by human progress when the Ghanaian society start loving content quality and not superficial fluff.

Abdul-Karim wrote,"The cinematography board, the media and the civil society must embark on massive campaign to reverse this growing trend." This amounts to censureship. The film industry cannot be forced to produce movies promoting the Ghanaian culture, because those are not money-making films. Obviously, sex sells and as long as there is a demand for them, they will be continued to churned out by the film makers. While nudity in the movies may offend Abdul-Karim's sensibilities, there are those who see nothing wrong with that. My advise to Abdul-Karim is to refraining from watching movies with nudity in them.

I think the writer and the adults watching the Soap with a 6 year old, should have known the Ratings of the movie. And if the ratings was unsuitable for a 6 year old, she should have been asked to leave the room. But, obviously the adults didn't see the need for that, forgetting their responsibilities. Now the writer comes and accuses the movie industry and media of allowing that type movie to be shown on TV.

Like the little girl hasn't seen or witnessed worse things on the streets of Accra or whichever village they were in. You Ghanaians disgust me to the nth power. Every single day I drive down the road from 6 - 6, with my daughter in the car, several men young and old, snap down their zippers and yank their penises to urinate in the full glare of motorists and passers by. If i go on walks early in the morning, you practically see men and women bathing naked in open compounds. The evil and vises of Ghanaian life and culture are 10 fold worse than the things you have described on foreign TV!!! ignorant arrogant Ghanaian intellectual.
