You don't need any empirical evidence of research to make an honest view of a house of some 300 and something people. What scientific research are you calling for in this instance? Our weakness now as a nation is the result of our dependence on foreign perspectives influencing our thought process. Do you need a scientific study to know the House of Ali Baba is a cult of thieves when their occupation in the Arabian Knights is vividly potrayed? Let's stop being supportive of lawlessness because we're getting a cut at the end. Some kind of an Alhaji who sees an enemy in Mecca during a pilgrimage but refuses to honor him an Alhaji because he wants to see his papers first before he acknowledges him.

Sounds a familiar name for the defense of corruption in Ghana. But beyond that, this writing smells of shit. Ghanaian judges can also claim that they are "My Lord", "Your Worship" (wherever those names originated from) and therefore they are unquestionable. "They (MPs) do scrutinize loan agreements, existing laws and work on bills emanating from the executive arm of government for passage into laws." What has this statement got to do with the view that MPs are corrupt? Apart from the irrelevancy of the statement, I wonder how many of those barber MPs understand what they vote for. We know them, we see them on the street, we live with them, we know they are corrupt, very corrupt. We do not need a restatement of what they are required to do as proof of their innocence. The same public knows better for what the voted them to go and do in parliament. That's a stupid argument.

Any person in Ghana who has tried to lobby parliament for a legislation in the interest of the country knows that you literarily have to bribe the lawmakers to get that done.
It is only when we accept the fact that most persons in the country is either corrupt or corrupted before we can find a way out of the mess. Statements seeking to water the fact down only help the parliamentarians to remain corrupt as ever while they scream corruption at others.
In the Ghana Telecom sales, Ghana's parliamentarian s were bribed!

What is sweeping about a true fact? No one in Ghana, in fact not even members of Ghana's parliament, can give the name of a member of Parliament who has never received a bribe in their short time as members of a once great institution. The fact to the matter is that the citizens of this great nation could not get the dishonorable men and women of parliament to, voluntarily or by legal obligation, declare any and all of their respective assets prior to taking office and again during exit from office. They never will because there will never be a member of Parliament that ever passes a morality test.
What is unfortunate but more befitting of parliament is their shameless attempts to use both legal systems, the courts and powers of legislation, to intimidate Ghanaians who dared call them out while we all suffer under this delusional democracy.
