Free education is a noble & desirable goal, but, it cannot be at the expense of quality. My fear is that this free SHS policy is more for political gain than a genuine desire to ensure the proper education of the next generation. It needs to be properly funded, which would mean the abandonment of other projects that the govt, privately, considers politically advantageous. I can't see that happening which raises issues of quality. Given the authors position as a PRO of the GES, I cannot help but take in this article with a pinch of salt.
