  Thanks a lot for expressing what a minority of us have been for so long , The last paragraph sums it all up, Wait till the insults start to rain on you , The pathetic bit is anyone who tends to reason along the same line as the author is branded as having slave mentality To conclude how can you change a bunch of people who see nothing wrong with their actions, Thank you very much you have made my day

  Advertising Executive, George Lois said, “Creativity can almost solve any problem. The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything. But for your creativity to be released, you must identify the barriers and start taking them down” Lois identifies one of the barriers as, “We have always done it this way” And concludes that, “People who say that have stopped thinking for themselves!”
  
  There are so-called intellectuals who come to this forum to argue that we should go back and do what we did fifty years ago with the disastrous results we are seeing all over Africa today.
  
  You may be surprised to know that university lecturers and staff of organisations like CSIR in Ghana clamour for “research grants every year and actually embark on strike action if they are not paid on time.” You ask yourself what have they produced in more than fifty years of that grant, and the answer is, absolute damn all! Not even a cure for malaria. It is the same all over Africa. Not surprisingly, we are churning out some of the worst graduates in the whole world!
