A very wise and intelligent article. The ndc government always make the most noise but they don't have even a single expect in their team. Mahama should resign and give the power to those who can do the job

Why would you be the one and only one to lose laptops in Ghana because of "dumsor"? Is it because you're the only one who owns and use a laptop in Ghana or the one and only ignorant clown to not know there is something called a surge protector? They sell surge protectors even in even nations where dumsor has never been an issue but where power surges are part of distributive power. Do not lay your ignorance at the feet of government; it may just be that Ghana is in the mess we find ourselves because of the incompetence you and others exude while criticizing a government and party you love to hate.

Daniel,
This is a very good write-up. What really intrigues me is the role of NPP’s communication people. Are there any groups/individuals remunerated or motivated in any way to put the party’s case across in any shape or form? Where are they in all this? Why are they not on the airways, print media and elsewhere harping on these lapses, quoting those instances to remind the people of Ghana about happened before?
What exactly are those NDC loud mouths experts in? Ghana has a potential installed capacity of nearly 3000MW, with a peak demand of about 2400MMW. So if the management was efficient enough, there should actually be excess capacity.
So the problem is really is one of financial and capacity mismanagement. Around the world, first year university students have developed systems that can switch power around areas of critical need. Since the major consumption centres are in the cities, mainly Accra-Tema, Kumasi, Sekondi-Takoradi and the mining towns of Obuasi and Tarkwa, all that entails is to switch voltage for re-distribution to these major centres during the daylight hours and re-distribute to other regional centres and major towns at night.
Technically, these centres of major activities can have power five or six days a week, while the not so critical areas have two or three days a week. If those NDC “gurus” cannot advise government on this in six years, what are they paid for and why is the NPP not screaming at the roof tops? I wonder.
