To me CKG became the SUPER LEGEND when he coached the Black Stars to 3 African Cup victories. As a nation we owe much of our continental football successes and an imposing national pride to this SUPER LEGEND, MR CHARLES KUMI GYAMFI and it'd be a fitting memorial to his SUPER LEGEND status and immortalize his name if a grateful nation will build a modern football stadium and name it after him.

  Mensah, don't hold your breath. According to Mr Cameron Duodu, the guy had a stroke. Did Ghana take care of him in his old age, when he was sick?
  
  Have they announced that he will be given a state burial?
  
  Imagine that a mere club manager like the former manager of Manchester United, SIR Alex Ferguson, pegged off, do you know what the British would do for him? They knighted him in his living days.
  
  Ghana is ruled by individuals who cannot see beyond their noses. This man won the African Cup of Nations for Ghana THREE TIMES.
  
  Everyone who watched football, in the `950s and 1960s saw his amazing artistry. He should have been a millionaire in his lifetime if he lived in the UK, Europe or America. But those who rule Ghana being the shitty self-seekers that they are, he was left to wallow in neglect.
  
  It is such a damned shame.

  Ei, CK Gyamfi, who won the African Nations Cup "back-to-back" (1963 and 1965) and a third time (1982). The man understood the psychology of his Ghanaian fellow players, and he also had technical expertise learnt in Europe from his days at Fortuna Dusseldorf and his training course in th German democratic Republic. And, as Cameron Duodu points out, he was a fiercely patriotic nationalist Ghanaian.
  
  When can we get such another, in these days of chop-money-but-forget-about performance?
  
  Can you imagine Gyamfi taking part in the idiocy that took place when Ghana went to play in the World Cup in Brazil?
  
  Gyamfi was a respected man. He spoke softly but clearly. As My Duodu points out, he was "literate". His qualities should be taught to all our young sports people. But who will stop seeking money and do it? The GAFA issued a short statement announcing Gyamfi's death and that was it.

  I think Uncle Doudu omitted some important fact here. Coach Ember came to coach Asante Kotoko after he left the National team. He went on to coach the Nigerian National team after Kotoko.
