Could you still remember that the P/NDC party with the endorsement of former EC boss used fake indelible ink for elections in 1992 and 1996, which was part of the rigging mechanism for stealing verdicts until proper indelible ink was secured for the country in 2000 by Craig Murray? We are yet to see what the new EC would do to further deepen democracy in our country to ensure free and fair elections because; actions speak louder than words.
NDC could not frivolously spend $5bn of public money outside the budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of gullible voters, and expect everything to be normal in the subsequent years without any difficulties in our fragile economy. In fact, this is one of the reasons why Ghanaians are wallowing in hunger and being overtaxed over and over again.

Thanks Frank for the enlightening piece. However, I have a feeling you made your sentiments for one Party and, in fact even, for that Party your support for a faction too obvious! If financial impropriety is discovered in a Party should it be hush-hushed, when it borders on criminality? Especially so when the Presidential Candidate's has been implicated? Should it not be clarified to clear the name of the Candidate? Is it in the ambit of a Party to deal with a suspected CRIMINAL INTENT or the Law enforcing agencies of the state? As for the need for the 'Leader' of the Party to 'put his foot down' the least said about that the better - it can only happen if he was party to all the 'internecine palaver'!! It was reported, and was never denied, that the Presidential Candidate made it clear he could not work with Afoko and Agyepong before their election and that he was in Tamale three days in advance just to campaign against them! It was therefore not surprising he could be part of a so-called 'Emergency Meeting' without Afoko and Agyepong when the Secretary General was in Ghana! As for the so-called regional tour, it is just a contrived apology of of a diversionary manoevre!! Please, the Presidential Candidate of the NPP should rather be called to order.

Why does this NDC party always have disasters when it comes to electing Presidential aspirants? It happened with Mills and Mrs Rawlings so why cant the Party change the rules/regulations so your Presidential incumbents can automatically go unopposed instead of all this unsavoury repeated self inflicted wounds? A democratic party indeed! Nothing but a bunch of ass lickers calling themselves an Executive!!
