Andy K, it has taken a very long time out of hypocrisy and tribal for you to know that your NDC government is cluelese and therefore committed a conspiracy to perpetuate a serious fraud and robbery of the Ghanaian People.
I hope your "co-equal" J.K. Bokor will one day be clear too in his mind and stop his tribal nonsense.
What is sometimes wrong with you Ewes, do you People want to carry the whole world on your shoulders?

I guess you are the only one who doesn't know that Andy-K is an ardent pro-Nkrumahist and doesn't prostitute himself with the NDC; nor the NPP.
If you are an intelligent reader, you'd have noticed the name K.T. Hammond defending the robbery and fraud he helped the NPP regime to start and the NDC is following on their heels. Or you haven't read anywhere how some people had become multi-millionaires before the first barrel of oil was lifted?

Dear Prof. Lungu and CY-Andy-k,
I am surprised that KKO-aka-namesake Baidoo is not here commenting on this insightful articles.
Our parliamentarians don't like to read for fear of coming into contact with facts, yet Kwesi P comes here behaving like these aliterate politicians.
Rather than Kwesi P's etnocentric prattle, he could have asked for a copy of the book to read or go to a library and borrow own. How can anyone infuse ethncentrism into such an important topic?
I wonder when this daylight robbery will stop. I can only hope that our politicians reconsider the position taken by GIGS and go back back to the drawing table. This robbery must stop.
Thanks Andy for sharing this insightful article with us. Bravo to your brother. We need more of these.
Thanks.

Ghana is at a cross-roads:
Which way, Jose!
Production Sharing Agreement (PAS) or so-called Ghana-Hybrid Giveaway?
The choice is easy for us: PSA!

I was just thinking how you bunkum, low life plebeians who indulge in the ethncoentric vituperations against Ewes and people from the north of Ghana will fare in Ghana compared to some of us you liberally insult on Ghanaweb. When I am back in Ghana and quaffing beer and cracking jokes with some of your NPP leaders, can you even dare join our company?
You see, when my junior brother left the Ghana Reinsurance Company where he was the Local Manager to go into private business, he cleared the telephone bill which one of the Ministers-to-be in the Kufuor regime and others had accumulated at Ramia House, where he got offices. Power was then restored to all and they paid him off on instalment basis. If you only knew the offer of "come and we'd give you some contracts" from NPP circles he had rejected, you'd faint with envy! The fishing licence one was the best. Just sell it off to some Korean or Chinese company and some kuul $12000 to $20000 (if it is pair fishing one)will be paid into a foreign account for you each month! How much are you earning in your day job, Mr Civilised Man!
Talking about primitive people, some of us come from the coast and have had over 500 years of contact relationship with the white people, people now recognised as the civilised people. What they wrote down about us didn't show that we were primitive people, as they said of others. When Torgbui Sri II (known in private life as Cornelius K. Kwawukume) was co-opted into the Legislative Council in 1916, before Nana Ofori Atta was added, he joined the august LegCo with a command of 3 major European languages (German, English and French and some proficiency in Spanish)) besides command of a number of W. African langauges, having lived in Sierra Leone and Cameroon for many years besides travelling the length and breadth of W. Africa as a merchant. What were your great, grandparents doing in 1906 or 1916? Did your father even have the benefit of formal education?
Send me your email and I'd send you the drawing of my great, great grandfather, the father of Torgbui Sri II, in the British press in the C19th! Primitive people indeed!
Please give it up. Stop treading the perilous path you and "these Akans" are on. Reducing serious national issues to ethnocentric insults is a treacheous national action, which MUST BE STOPPED!

I am more than happy that a sophisticated thinker and well informed analyst like Mr. Solomon Kwawukume has taken on this challenging task so that Ghana will be treated fairly .
Please take your feudal ethnocentrism and "tribalism" elsewhere. You are the reason our parlimentarians are behaving the way the article describes it! Get a copy of the book and read it. Stop behaving like Philip Kobina Baidoo, Jr., Mr. Oxymoron Civil Libertarian!

"...GIGS, on the other hand, dealt with the Fiscal provisions and other unfavorable sections which we consider inimical to the interest of Ghanaians and concluded with an appeal for the adoption of Production Sharing Agreement to maximize Ghana’s potentials from the oil resources. GIGS hold the firm opinion supported by cogent calculations that the present Bill in its present form is simply either a clueless giving away of Ghana’s petroleum resources on a silver platter or a conspiracy to perpetuate fraud and robbery of the mass of Ghanaians and deny them a fair and equitable share of her oil resources in the name of attracting foreign investment, which is just a hollow trope in a Ghana with proven oil reserves.../

This resulted into exchanges between the Executive Director of GIGS and Hon. K. T. Hammond for a while until the Chairman called for a halt and said he did not want a situation where we would leave and felt being intimidated.../

WE SAY: Ghana-Hybrid system?
We see!
The Mahama-NDC government is finding sections of wart-infested Rawlings constitution(s) that they love. The last time, it was the NDPC and Nii Moi Thompson telling Ghanaians goals for their 40-Year Dev. Plan were identified in that 1994 Constitution.
Yes, right!
As if societal values and goals do not change, even those identified in wart-infested guideline.
Right!

Prof. Lungu, something is amiss here. GIGS is not working with those other bodies you listed. They are part of the formidable lobby group, including the World Bank and IMF, backing the FOCs. They are liberally funded for their campaign of lies and deception of the people of Ghana.
For my life, they are all jokers out there.

The absurdity of Hammond asking where in the Rawlings constitution(s) a "Production Sharing Agreement" is mentioned ought to be clear to every who believes that Ghanaians deserve better.
We are saying that there are mighty few processes global in their scope and implications that Ghanaians can invent. The Production Sharing agreement, if properly reviewed, ought to get it done for the people.
READ: "... It is our fervent hope that, the Select Committee on Mines and Energy recommend to Government to use its diplomatic channels to get an independent expert to come and assist Government, which to a larger extent would help us make very prudent decisions rather than the over reliance on the embryonic State Institutions with leaders who we believe are struggling to understand the best practices in the emerging Upstream Petroleum Industry in the Country. They often appear not to have a clue, a situation we find very baffling and alarming!..."
WE SAY: We all should agree this will be in the best interest of Ghana, the entity that owns those consumable resources being developed.
