Instead, the present register should be open for review by the public. Those whose names are wrongfully on the list should be weeded out if this can be proven.
There are deep seated reasons why we always produce incorrect registers. Because of our third world nature, we are unable to adequately register and monitor births and deaths. In the small European country where I live, there is no registration before voting because the authorities already know who are eligible voters and inform them accordingly. They have been keeping accounts of the citizenry for centuries. That is why they also don't conduct population censuses - no need. We cannot afford this in Ghana. Any registration exercise in Ghana is bound to have mistakes.
Secondly, it is almost impossible to tell who is a Ghanaian and who is not.
Let us just review the present register.

Why is NDC vigorously responding while the EC has said nothing about the allegations? Unless you are telling me the EC is an extension of the NDC party, which we all know it is.

The exercise of finding out that some Togolese voted or are registered in the Ghanaian electoral system should be made an world wide exercise including Europe, North and South America, Asia etc, because many Ghanaians, apart from their citizenship, are holders of other nationalities making them tovte in both countries. Many Npps as well as Ndcs benefit from this strategy but never made mention of this in the Bawumia's press report and stated it crystal clear that it's the Togolese who have invaded the democratic process going on in Ghana. Unfortunately, regardless of whatever happened the approach to the issue is pure discrimination againt the Togolese people which would damage the relationship between Ghana and Togo.Unluckly, the inmature pronouncements of Bawumia (as a star witness at the sc after the 2012 elections and his latest press conference)are all indications of lack of being insecure in his thinking and very dangerous to the society. His Phd must be questioned. There's a problem with his academic stand and this needs to be thoroughly investigation to avoid future chaotic situations. This is just the beginning.
