Naming streets after the natural features of the areas they run through should be the default naming praxis. It is after that that we can designate specific streets to be named after prominent people. A street that passes by ... read full comment

It is after that that we can designate specific streets to be named after prominent people. A street that passes by a prominent hospital can take the name of that hospital. There should be many ways of naming streets.

WE SAY: That is a funny one!
We imagine like any new culture, street and location naming and recognition must be acquired, with some education, learning, and TIME!
But the money must be used wisely, effectively. Permanence of results is expected. And we'd expect workers are capturing precise geographic coordinates for each address and intersection.
So, the "Street Names" and "Street Addresses" are more permanently pressed in the records and memories, even as Gates and Buildings that have not been painted since independence, since they were built, acquire new deserving coats of paint.
