The parliamentary primaries recorded a sad picture whereby the favorite candidates of the presidential candidate were mostly rejected leaving one to wonder whether his authority on the party is now waning.
It is a frightening development and Akufo and his faithful and loyal servants must be concerned. Something is wrong with his leadership which is the cause for the friction in the npp.

My freind NPP is doomed to stay in opposition if people like you do not curb your ethnic chauvinism and refrain from needless ethnic insults!! Even if Npp tallied 100% of Akan votes it would not suffice to win the presidency or control parliament. Going back to the 1950s the Npp and its forbears has never managed to win more than 60% of the Akan electorate. You see the majority of Akans and Ghanaians in general not ethnic chauvinists and cast their votes with a degree of political sophistication. As a person who will not vote for either Npp or Ndc, I would advise you and other Akan chauvinists to shut up before your majimboism dooms Npp to the opposition benches and subjects Ghana to 4 more years of Ndc fecklessness. It is my fervent hope that the minor parties can coalesce and win the elections, that is not likely and so I hope the Npp gets it act together and defeats the feckless Ndc. I still will not vote Npp but it will take a herculean effort to match the Ndc record of mismanagement and corruption.

Nana's prospects will not improve when people like Kwabena Agyepong, Asante Bediatuo and Gaby O Darko continue to feature in his plans.
These lot have been tagged as 'arrogant' and must be left in the background at best.
When you have Asante Bediatuo bragging about buying his shirts from Switzerland and socks from Turkey, not to mention Italian designer shoes and bespoke suits; then you would want to keep away if you want to win an election.
