Part of the hurdle with Ghana investing more into solar is private entities wanting the government to take on risks knowing full and well the government lacks even the money to pay workers on time.
Dumsor is a crisis and everyone wants their great ideas on how to fix it to be implemented in seconds. These great ideas needed to have been implemented at the time Akosombo Dam was being abused so that eventually when a crisis rears its ugly head the implementation (having been in place and mature) would work smoother with quicker results.
We have a glut of talent when it comes to great ideas but this country is incredibly desolate when it comes to implementation.
