Most cancers are hereditary exacerbated by lifestyle. By lifestyle which may include what we eat but I think food in itself contributes minimally. This article may deceive a lot of people to think as long as they change their diet they would be free from cancer. Cancer, I believe, is often cell division that's gone awry. This may be as a result of inactivity or an introduction of a carcinogenic material to the body. Two examples, smoking introduces carcinogenic materials to the body that can cause lung cancer and not having children as a woman increases your chance of having breast cancer and other reproductive organ related cancers.
Prostrate cancer occurs largely in older men. This is often due to sexual inactivity as a result of ageing. But it can also occur in younger or middle age men for the same reason. Sometimes, due to our genetic disposition, we are at higher risk of having a cancer. In the case of prostrate or breast cancers, these risks multiplies if these organs are (for the want of better word) not used. Do you realise our polygamous fathers lived longer. They hardly had prostrate cancer. On the other hand we the younger generation are dying from prostrate cancer in an alarming rate. The reason MAY be due less sexual activity. In nulliparous women there the risk of having breast cancer is very high due to lack of breast feeding.
So, cancers are less related to what we eat than what we do. As long as you exercise enough the body is capable of handling most of the things we eat. We have to just make sure we don't become addicted to any particular for. Just vary what you eat. Make sure you get it from a good source. If you are a middle age man, as I am, sometimes the desire to have sex goes down. However, you would realise that it is not that the desire has gone but maybe it your partner who is not attractive anymore. Find a way of making your relationship work. Otherwise you're predisposing yourself to prostrate or testicular cancer.
