Why should Ghanaians complain about "One time premium" under NDC? They believe in that system hence voted them into power now, who is paying a dear price for what? In the advance nations like the US, UK etc, there is nothing like "One time premium" and we are yet to see how that is working under this clueless party which is full of "truants".
Oh so, Alex Segbefia has no medical background and how come he is the Health Minister? I love how NDC is treating Ghanaians when it comes to health issues. A sage once said that "You don't value what you have till you lose". Unquote. Ghanaians wish the NHIS under NPP is still in full swing but look and behold, that will never come.

Once again you're caught with your pants down, Dr Kwame, drawing comparison between some actions in the USA with those in Ghana. You, like many in the NPP, are but glorified classroom educated but ignorant about issues that are beyond your limited post graduate area of study.
For starters, US Congress do have the authority and do defund at will programs they find poorly administered and or progrsms which go against some of the illogical morals of members of the majority party in both houses of Congress. Secondly, new programs initiated by a US President are mostly funded mandates unless otherwise earmarked for interagency funding or state funds via reimbursement arrangements between states and national government.
In Ghana, on the other hand, the NHIS like the school feeding program, NYEP now GYEEDA and many others unleashed on Ghana by your preferred NPP under Kufour were conceived by an NPP party and leadership that could give a damn about Ghana were it not for some delusional short term political gain irrespective of how much of a cost to Ghana. Furthermore, NPP led actions straight out of the play book of the US Republican party did want to see the NHIS fail under the NDC by instigating the kokoase bunch in NPP strongholds to not participate in a socialist health care system in the best democratic nation the world has to offer. What does that tell you, Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe? There are no absolute political systems despite the delusions of the NPP that there is a perfect system out there they pretend is within reach. Ghana is being destroyed not by those who dared to be ideal and or those with foresight but by those in the Diaspora, in the NDC and NPP who see no need to have original thoughts but adept at imitations without requisite foundations. US presidency is not reserved for those stewed and brewed in economics, global history and management neither are they required to be endowed in any professional background. Do you think a college drop-out who gets to be governor of Wisconsin get to run for the US Republican party presidential candidate if there was anything there? How then would you chastise the NDC for appointing as head of the NHIS administration a person without medical school credentials when you, Dr. Kwame swear by the system you enjoy as God's gift to mankind?
