We cannot even use religion, any religion at all, to condemn other people. Nobody can force his idea of salvation on any other person.

Instead of distracting attention from the issues raised by hiding behind a universally acceptable prohibition like moher-child sexual relationship, you may focus on the actual harm caused to anybody or any society by two grown-ups' choice to have sex. And when you do, you will find that you can never make sense.
The prohibition against parent-child sexual relationship was established at the very beginning of society, and nobody has ever raised any objection to it because there are very compelling social and scientific reason for the prohibition; butwe are today raising serious objections against a prohibition not based on any intelligent analyses, and all you can do is to juxtapose a prohibition which hads universal approval? The two issues of homosexuality and incest are asymmetrical: we would not be here debating homosexuality if its prohibition were as acceptable as that of a mother having sex with her child.

Without first formulating a unified national (re-)education plan for schools, and communities at all socio-economic levels based on those fundamental tenets,corruption,embezzlement, fraud, prostitution, bestiality and other deviant lifestyles once tolerated with quiet indifference will continue to destroy the country's stability.
Besides,homosexuality, like prostitution, has always existed around the globe. It is on a rapid increase since the West has sought to institutionalize and foist it, as a seeming form of population control, on economically vulnerable countries. Did you know that Jamaica, a Christian country, whose economy is tied to America's purse-strings is compelled to teach homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle in high schools today - this against a majority voice that rejects it? In other words, there is always a natural progression of things.Yesterday we vehemently defended homosexuality as a practice that two same-gender adults participate in in the privacy of their room. Then their lobbyists went to work enticing Black artists/high profile Blacks with greater fortune to declare themselves gay. Today they are getting married as entitlement to their sexual orientation and such alternative lifestyle is a required subject in some schools. Tomorrow? Our children and grandchildren who adamantly might remain heterosexual may be marginalized on the employment market for being part of a minority. Is such consequence worth the sums paid out to some of our people to help further disstabilize our foundation and core essence?
So my point is this: let us love and respect our brothers and sister gays. Let us appreciate that we just happen to be on the safe side in the scheme of things - the side of the majority today. Fact is we also could have been born with same disorder so let us show love and understanding; but when it comes to institutionalizing homosexuality, I leave you to let your voice be heard.

Yes our cultural practices and sensibilities frown upon homosexuality. However our main enemies as a nation are corruption, theft, lack of accountability, laziness, dissipation of public funds. These are what is militating against us and not homosexuals. Those stealing public funds and taking bribes are not homosexuals. Those who are paying unauthorized judgment debts are not homosexuals. Those that are inflating contract prices to the detriment of the nation are not homosexuals. If anything, heterosexuality is more to blame because there are more of them. Brilliant article once again. Instead of a reflective opposition to the anti-people's agenda of government,instead of enjoining and supporting government in the protection of life,liberty,property,and in promoting the general welfare of all Ghanaians,we've become homophobic,xenophobic and self righteous,wagging accusing fingers at others while glossing over and relegating the weightier matters to the back woods. We've become apathetic and no longer our brother's keeper. How is it possible for the Christian majority and the ever increasing number of religious practitioners like the Jewish scribes in the time of Christ to pay tithing,pray,fast and to proselyte yet be inclined to omit the weightier matters of mercy,judgement and faith? They don't seem to understand Christianity and the mission of Christ. In a terse sentence that has become proverbial,Christ said to the accusers of the woman caught in adultery,a sin so prevalent in Ghana today, "He that is without sin among you,let him cast a stone at her." The woman's accusers were convicted by their own conscience. Shamed and in disgrace they slunk away,knowing themselves to be unfit to appear either as accusers or judges. What cowards conscience made at the time! But not so in the Ghana of today. What we don't realize is that we are all sinners and stand in need of Divine mercy and grace and that mercy is for the merciful. As a heavenly jewel it's to be received with thankfulness and used with sanctity,not to be cast in the mire of undeservedness. Moreover,what is common to all of us should unite us because it's stronger than what divides us. I'm a Christian and believe in loving my neighbor as myself. But who is my neighbor? Everyone!
