Actually I have never heard any NDC man or woman saying anything that brings comfort to the ordinary Ghanaian. It is characteristic of them. For listen to what one goon who goes by the name Solomon Nkansah said the other day - he does not see anything good coming from the Ashanti Region. Those are their traits - the use of unrefined language.
And what a missed opportunity it was, in the case of the second lady, because this was a message sent to this government, which should have helped the government to realize that its policy direction wasn’t the best. The headmistress clearly knew how hopeless it was to ask for these things from the district directorate. Those things are simply not there, and she might have already asked for these items many times to no avail. So, politely telling the second lady about their plight was a perfect diplomacy, given what the occasion was. And she spoke for many Ghanaian teachers who are also in the same soup. It was to tell the government to start by providing the most basic teaching aids before computers.
Why do we think of computers when we can’t get chalk? Is this what the NDC mean by quality education?

Nowhere did I insuniate that and please do me a favour and point to me where I did and if Idid, then I will apologize because that was not my intention to make this article tribal.
Maybe they have the same proverb in other tribes but First things first does not explicitly explains the Akan proverb.
Mike, I am one of the few Npp members that have continue to say that I don't see anything wrong even if President Mahama appoints all his Ministers from the three Northern regions as long as they perform their job without discriminating against other tribes.
I have lived in America for too long to know even here Presidents appoint most of their Secretaries and government officials from the state they came from and have never heard anybody complaining that there are too many officials from one state.
I came to America when Ronoald Reagan was the President and most of his appointees were from California.
President Herbert Walker Bush did the same with his Texas friends.
President Clinton appointed most of his officials from his Arkansas state.
President Bush junior did like his father taken his Texas buddies to the White House.
President Obama has followed that trend with friends from Illinois and Harvard University.

Sarpong may not have interpreted the lady's words from English to Twi but he wrote "Mema mo chalk ne, mema mo chalk ekyena" which is clearly some form of Twi or Akan. In which Twi is that a correct way of writing the language? What is the difference between "I will" and "I won't" if you write each of these in correct Fante,or correct Asante or correct Akuapem?
I just want to know.
If you ask me if Matilda is a lady, I will tell you that she is not. She is crude and brusque! But I think the fault is really ours - Ghanaians. We give tooooo much respect to the wives of Presidents and Vice Presidents who are really no better than other Ghanaian women. We must stop calling them "First Lady" or "Second Lady" which are terms we borrowed from the English who never even use the term "Second Lady".
