Most of us attended school in Ghana and know that government does not "provide uniforms and shoes" to school children. What are the parents responsibilities? NDC is donating uniforms and shoes to school children just to buy the next election.
Even the school that the computers were given has no electricity so, how are they going to use the computers? NDC dirty politics is destroying Ghana.

Imagine!
The President (Mahama), and his Vice-President (Amissah-Arthur) do not pay taxes on their incomes, and per diems!
But, all the poor teachers receiving little monthly incomes, do pay taxes!
In effect, Mrs. Amissah-Arthur is asking the teachers to pay taxes more than once!
Nonsense!

This is typical of how a government gets it so fundamentally wrong. There is obviously a glaring display of misplaced priorities here and this has been exemplified by none other than the wife of the vice president. Anyone with an ounce of brain ought to know that one does not require a uniform or sandal in order to learn but rather all the learning and teaching materials one could possibly find. Of all the things in the world that a headteacher could have asked a visiting dignitary, should it have been the common chalk? This shows how difficult it has become for teachers to teach in this country we call Ghana; it is not their duty to go cap in hand begging for handouts!
Someone or group should sue the government for lack of common sense. Don't forget that the monies used to dole out these free uniforms and sandals belong to all of us and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that they are put to uses that will benefit us all in the long run. What good is a child to a country if he or she goes to school dressed well but has no pencil or chalk to write with?

Shame on you Kwapps. If you truly believe in this crap then why not suggest students in Ghana forgo clothing and get to school as naked as jail bird? Living in Canada is not a license to display ignorance or make comparisons that belies Ghana's problems; we need solutions not comparisons without commonality. Students in Ghana need classrooms fit for student occupancy. Every study conducted around the world on student aptitude and school environment concludes there is a direct linkage between facilities and learning. Those studies also show a correlation between student clothing and conducive learning environment. That is why in developed nations schools that have uniform dress codes fare better than all others. Clothing is a must unless Kwapps would love to see us back in the jungle days. Why is the headmistress not taking GES to task and or why has the DCE, MCE, and all the executives of the region not been the focus of the issue? Did the headmistress connect with the 2nd lady prior to the donation or did she bring up the issue during the presentation?
It has been political for national governments to donate essentials to schools since day one but we choose to normalize it in Ghana because politics at all cost is what win elections in Ghana.
One last passing shot Kwapps why not let your children attend school naked in Canada to show the government there is no need for stinking clothing to learn? Please don't tell me it's mandatory and then thump your nose at schools and students in Ghana with your lousy moral equivalent.

Mahama and his coke goons should allocate budgets to schools for essential supplies? Ahrr Braa panin paa, looks like you don't know who you are talking about. Even the Chinese know them better.
