Dear friends,
The "francis kwarteng" here is not the one doing the series on Kwame Nkrumah, a fellow Ghanaweb columnist.
Bro. SAS, let any of your friends with the IP address-reading software sort this thing out for you! I have chosen to capitalize my name to distinguish it from the impersonator.
Of course I don't claim exclusive ownership of the name "francis kwarteng."
I want you to take note.
Thanks.

So, does this not confirm what all Ghanaians have been saying or known for years that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has not got the leadership qualities to be President? More so, we are also aware that Nana has not been able to provide his missing law certificate apart from a fake note from the General Legal Council made up of sympathisers.

The submission of his Certificate, really, would not impact on his ability to perform as a President Bernard. Or, would it?
It is only when one is accusing him of having falsely claimed a professional qualification to practice as career lawyer that his integrity would be brought into question in his quest for the Presidency.
But we have been there before. It seems he has an iron-clad protection from various sources, including international ones, against any such attempt to derail his lifetime ambition to be the President of the Country.
We should also give him the benefit of doubt for the simple reason that Certificates are usually not replaceable when lost. The best Institutions could do is provide transcripts for the successful completion of the Course he took to accomplish his studies or earn the Degree he used to enter the Profession.
I encountered a similar situation when I lost my G.C.E. Certificate, and, upon my request for its replacement, the West African Exams Council told me the Certificate could not be replaced. Instead, they sent me a set of transcripts to testify that I did sit and pass the Exams with the grades that earned me the Certificate. Meanwhile, I had another, back-up, G.C.E. Certificate from a previous private attempt via London G.C.E. that I added to my portfolio to bolster my application.
So, unless Nana himself undermines himself by confessing to anything indicating he never completed his Law Studies successfully to earn his Degree that qualified him to serve as a practicing Lawyer, it would be a useless venture for anyone to keep harping on the question of where his Certificate is.
What is a little disconcerting about the whole issue, though, is whether the Bar Association never makes copies of the Certificates of its members, upon which the General Legal Council would affirm the members' eligibility to practice Law in the Country. Well, it could also be that Nana might have lost the Certificate before applying to these Professional Institutions for membership and presented transcripts of his Educational pursuits instead.

Oh yes, SAS has now confirmed what Ghanaians have been saying all over the years.Akufo Addo has no leadership qualities to lead this diverse country like Ghana. He has demonstrated this when he served as the Attorney General and the foreign minister. To majority of Ghanaians, Kufour only mentained him for party cohesion,so that if SAS has now come out to confirmed this, then there is no need for Ghanaians to find it difficult not to give their votes to Akufo Addo. I wonder what kind of president this man would be. Ghanaians would prefer peace to chaos.

Dr. SAS is right in most of his points raised in the Article, including his subtle concession of Nana's less-than-adequate leadership thus far.
However, it would take only Nana's own initiative to break the deadlock for any significant unity to return to the Party. Unfortunately, when some of us with similar concerns about Nana's passivity urged him to show proactive leadership to forestall such chaos as we see now, we got pummeled by the likes of Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. and others.
If you are a card holding member of the Party, Dr. SAS, you have more clout than most of us in the floating realm and may have to be listened to by those prodding Nana on to remain adamant.
However, you cannot blame only Kwabena Agyepong and Afoko for any of these messy feuds. Coming out of the Primaries, we all saw the alacrity with which Nana's team rushed to restrain the two newly elected leaders of the Party's Administration from doing their work. Not even the alleged reshuffle of some appointed positions at the Party's headquarters by Kwabena Agyepong offered enough justification for the escalation of the chaos and the attempted restraint on the General Secretary by Nana's folks.
What baffled many of us most is Nana's passive response to all these disruptive activities at the Party's Headquarters. He could have been more public with any counseling for unity he had in mind, and should have directly demanded a commitment from both Agyapong and Afoko to his ultimate success at the Elections. He could have tactically put the 2 in a bind to offer nothing less than what is expected of them by the Party to win in 2016, without rousing any contempt or chaos from them.
Instead, Nana remained quiet as he watched his minions ravage any goodwill that was left between his side and the two leading Officials of the Party, after the Primaries.
Akufo-Addo's failure to even make personal contact with Kwabena Agyapong and Afoko for that emergency Meeting that he attended in the absence of the two is also a suspect. That suspicion feeds into the fears of many that Nana has been personally behind all the commotion his disruptive supporters have been engaging in to thwart the duties of the General Secretary and the Chairman. It all looks like he cherishes the harassment of Kwabena Agyapon and Afoko in silence.
Such is not a healthy leadership. I hope all sides would see some wisdom in this Article.

Only Lungu is so clueless as to think that some of us will stoop so low as to use his moniker to spew tribal trash. That is why he went ahead to cast insinuations against us in a whole article. And for that nonsense, I will not forgive him!
In fact I can figure out 100% when someone else is impersonating you or Lungu, and on the day that somebody imputed an ethnocentric statement to you and Lungu, I called your phone to alert you, but there was no answer; and I would have alerted Lungu if he were not hiding his identity in a pyramid. So I was very disappointed when I discovered that he did not even respect me enough to determine what I would or would not do. Don't get me wrong; I hate Lungu all right but I will be the last to believe that he is an ethnocentric goon. He is not; and neither are you.

Dr SAS, I must say this is a reasonable and well-written piece. Your plea for NPP unity is in the right direction. Currently, the NPP is not a united party. There are too many schisms, internal hatreds, mistrust, bitterness and personal agenda.
The main problem with NPP is that, there are many unhealthy influences and destructive figures within the party who are not interested in the party capturing political power from the ruling NDC, but rather, to have a stranglehold on the leadership, direction and soul of the NPP. This has made the NPP a party of 'warring tribes'.
So far, Nana Akufo-Addo has failed to unite the party. He is the leader of the party and has the responsible to ensure unity and good organisation of the party. The NPP leadership must unite. It must be democratic, principled and properly organised if the party would stand any chance of defeating the NDC.
