Arthur Kennedy, tell us what you have done for Ghana!! All what you have been interested in for Ghana is to become the nation's president. When you failed to achieve that aim, you relocated back to America!! Couldn't you have stayed in the country to help it's development with your medical expertise? You only think about what you can get from Mother Ghana but not what you can do for her. Shame unto you!! Come back and serve the motherland as a medical doctor and help improve the crumbled health sector, you fool!!

"Let Ghana be a beacon once again."
The opportunistic Mate Meho House Negro has now become aware that Ghana's educational system was once one of the best in Africa - thanks to the vision of Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah.Today,Kennedy,Sarfo,Ahoofe,Sarpong are all professionals living and enjoying the GOOD LIFE in Uncle Sam's country.Had Ghana's founder not invested heavily in education(25%of the budget in 1965; and built more than 80 GET boarding schools throughout the country in 9 years),Kennedy would have been a fisherman,half-naked and eating DOKONO in a boat over the Atlantic. Likewise, the other three most likely would be in their bush farms eating fufu and grasscutter xxxx soup for breakfast. Today, they are all in Obronikrom eating New York steak with CUTLERY,and drinking French wine and British whiskey.
Aside from free and compulsory primary educatioin - which Danquah and his ilk opposed - Nkrumah established UCC to train mostly science teachers, and to replace pupil teachers in the primary and secondary schools;he also spent millions to upgrade Legon and KNUST to university status.
Danquah and the NLM/UP wanted most of the northerners to remain illiterate, to serve as labor pool for farms in the south, and also as watchmen and gardeners. Thanks to Osagyefo,we now have thousands of northernes as professsionals and politicians such as Mahama,Bawumia and Babgin(they did not turn out to be cattle herders,as Ursula Owusu wanted them to be).
Nkrumah saw universal and quality education as prerequisites for economic, social, technological and scientific advancement of Ghana - the same vision that Lee Kuan Yew(Singapore)and Tunku Abdul Rahman(Malaysia)had.Had it not been for the traitorous and primitive purveyors of terrorism (NLM/UP),our nation would have been at the forefront of education in Africa.
Unfortunately, out of the hundred BEST UNIVERSITIES IN AFRICA,Legon ranks #24,and KNUST #77(2015 Web Rankings/Africa).Perhaps,Ghana's education would improve if "educated idiots" like the NPP lecturers at KNUST spent their time doing research and improving the quality of teaching in the classroom.Infact, these glorified fools should not be teaching in the first place.
YOURS TRULY PULLS NO PUNCHES.

I'm not holding brief for Ghana's poor showing but until a scientific research is conducted vigorously to merit the conclusion, am not in for a rather subjective findings.
THESE international Organisations conduct their armchair research, probably some content analysis, document review and want us to believe their findings are statistically significant?
No, no way...am not in for that.
I do know educational standards have dropped but that does not make Ghana a less force in education in the world.

Let's not go haywire over this and start misinterpreting the results. We need to improve our education at all levels, no doubt. But Ghana is not the last in academic achievement in the world. Kobina Kenedy's title and article seems to give this impression.
Ghana was chosen in a sample of 76 countries and tests were administered in only Maths and Science. We got last in the test sample. That does not mean that we are last in the whole world. The test sample consists of only a third of the countries of the world.
Singapore and the countries of East Asia have long been education over achievers because of tradition. They do better than the US and many European countries. In Europe, the Scandinavians have been in top also because of tradition. Our bottom ranking does not, necessarily, mean we are falling behind the other countries. We have never been ahead of the East Asians and Scandinavians. We shouldn't make this finding a scare. Only few African countries were on the list and they didn't do well either. The best African country was Tunisia in 64th place - nothing o boast about. Indeed, South Africa was second to last. So what does that mean? That country has some good research institutions of world class.
Here is a list of the rankings. See for yourself:
