Brother Kwabena, I doubt your true membership in NPP. My reason for saying this is simple. If you were, why didn't you adress this piece to the leadership of "your party"? Having read your piece, I can conclude that you haven't brought this "findings" of yours to the leadership at any level; polling station, through constituency to national. Bringing this to public domain tells a lot about your true membership of the party. I'll beg you to come again next time.

Kwabena, your argument is as pathetic as your mentors and bankrollers. In 2008, a lot of people did not believe there was a grand conspiracy to ensure that Nana Addo does not win the elections. In 2012 again we saw the hidden hands of manipulations of the Alan camp and still did give it a serious attention .However it is now very clear to all and sundry that the disgruntled elements who do not want to see the Nana Addo Presidency are from WITHIN NPP.
What are their reasons ? Simple Hatred . The anticipated fear of having an incorruptible President, a president that would not succumb to the whimps and caprices of the greedy hypocrites within the party who are now comfortably in bed with Mahama to cost a simple renovation of an airport in Kumasi at $29 million and share the booty. These greedy few who have watched the hardwork of Kufour to establish NHIS, SCHOOL FEEDING, FREE BUS RIDE FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN and above all a buoyant economy go down the drain.
There is no being who can prevent the Presisency of Nana Addo. The earlier you get used to this fact the better for u. Even the die hard NDC supporters know their regime has failed ghanaians.

Busia is an npp founder and if incompetent Mahama won and has a parliamentary candidate there calls for worry. how can anyone win a national election if he looses in his own constituency?
if we want power in 2016, we must concentrate on actions that will win us power. visiting Buhari will not add one vote to npp. but using that amount spent on this trip to do something in wenchi could return the seat to npp. we must place our priorities right to have a chance to save mother Ghana from this corrupt regime of Mahama.

I agree with your points although a slight correction is needed. The writer talks of the presidential vote. NPP won the parliamentary seat and NDC won the presidential vote. As you state however, NPP needs to address this issue lest it fail again. Nana Addo in my view does not have his eye on the ball. He should have been on the road by now with his alternative energy and financial plans. Going to Abuja will not bring a single vote to him.

The bane of the NPP is that its activists lack the objectivity to analyse the causes of their defeat. They are still in denial that they truly lost the election in 2012. With this attitude they will lose again not necessarily because Mahama deserves to win but simply because the NPP does not deserve a chance with the all-knowing flag bearer. With this attitude towards their own members with dissenting views, how can the rest of us be assured that they wouldn't trample over our rights should they win the elections? Go on and hand over the victory to Mahama again and blame it on Agenda 2020.

So Nana should return back HOME.

I see a lot of wisdom in this article.NPP losing in Busia's home town is certainly unpardonable.Something very serious must be wrong in the constituency and the earlier the party got to grips with the problem the better rather than try to find fault with people who genuinely hold diverse views. A first step is for Akuffo Addo to turn away from the sycophants around him and engage his critics in a constructive discussion. He has nothing to lose rather he will become attractive to the thousands of floating voters who are closely watching events.A word to the wise is enough.

Who is running for president? Nyamekye or Nana Addo?
This is the approach that will ensure defeat. Akuffo Addo loses in Busia's hometown and someone else needs to make inquiries.

Mr. Nyamekye, my hat goes off to you! First off, I love your style of writing. I think your Article was very well written.
Second off, the point you made was right on target. I am not a registered member of NPP. I could be called one of the floating members of the Electorate. However, I have made similar comments as you so cogently made in your Article regarding the premature crowning of Akufo-Addo, and the complacent neglect of many long-existing centers of core NPP votes, way back before the NPP Primaries, and I got slammed by the likes of Professor Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. who seems to claim to be the NPP flagbearer's staunchest family supporter.
The Professor and his cohorts would simply erroneously characterize any genuine criticism of the Akufo-Addo camp as an automatic support for his opponents, especially, Alan. In fact, I know many reasonable, discerning friends who expressed their worry with that kind of attitude by the Nana's camp, and how they would rather stay home and not vote at all, if they still found Mahama equally reprehensible.
That tells how seriously damaging the chances of the NPP could be, leading to the 2016 Elections, should the arrogance and blatant bigoted insults by Nana's camp against many with different opinions from Nana's continue.
Pompously, the Akufo-Addo faction believes whatever faux-pas the NDC incumbent Administration is committing translates automatically into Nana's win in 2016. But they could be in for a rude awakening. All it takes is for Mahama to fix the Dumsor problem a little earlier before the Elections, and release the flood-gates for dumping much of the funds the NDC corrupt Officials have stolen into the unto the unsuspecting Electorate.
It, therefore, becomes imperative that no core votes of the NPP must be overlooked, and demands that the Wenchi debacle be promptly addressed.
But if Akufo-Addo would still pooh-pooh such a poignant admonishment as you gave, his Camp must prepare to go to the Supreme Court, again, in 2016 to contest his stupendous loss in waiting. That would be a great disappointment for many Ghanaians who yearn for a change for the better.
