I expected Kwabena Amankwah to present a case of facts showing a Ghana at January 2009 with no outstanding government debt, no national electricity problems and some money in the national coffers not to mention a couple of a dozen million dollars in reserve. For me, it is not only childish display of intellectual immaturity but hypocritical for anyone to blame our electricity distribution or power generation problems on the current Mahama administration when Ghana did not see any need for our interrupted electricity all the years since 1966 but deem it to be a priority now. In the meantime previous governments point to their disjointed and unwise acquisitions of backup generators that have no place in a comprehensive approach to solving this electrification nightmare. Where are these demands for government services coming from at a time when the majority of NPP stalwarts encourage people not to pay their fair share of taxes, avoid paying, boycott government mandates but yet demand increases in civil service wages, salaries and benefits amidst shrinking government revenue receipts? The IMF loan would not be necessary if you, Kwabena Amankwah and others with your line of thinking, would gladly accept the elimination of government provided subsidized gasoline prices, electricity and water prices and paid for roads and bridge construction and maintainance out of our paychecks. A word of wisdom for you is do not ask for government handout if you do not want to know where it comes from. You could have done all of Ghana a favor if you had asked previous governments to throw away the shiny tin cup for begging they used so the current government could not have laid hands on.

Your riposte exemplifies the stupidity of the typical NDC buff. Kwabena is here talking about massive corruption in government that has brought the nation to its knees with billions of outstanding debt, and all you can do is to engage in a babble of meaningless suggestions that have nothing to do with stemming corruption and ineptitude in government.
You are saying that Kwabeana should have asked previous governments not to beg so that this government will not beg? Or that nobody should blame the present government for the present electricity problem because previous governments did not do much about it? Or that the NPP encourage people not to pay their taxes while accepting government subsidies? How do all these assertions help resolve the present looting and sharing in the NDC government that have collapsed the economy and led us to the IMF? What do you have to say about that?
I have said elsewhere that you have never made any sense anywhere in your life, and your trashy answer today is one more testament that you can never think in your life.

Are you making a case for the unprecedented borrowing and corruption that has reached epic proportions under this administration? Talking about government subsidized gasoline prices do you know how it all started in Ghana and in other places? Government subsidies are socialist inspired subventions meant to keep money from the hands of the poor thereby making them perpetually dependent on a benevolent socialist/communist elite bent on perpetuating their grip on power. The best way is to create an investment friendly environment which in turn will produce good paying jobs.
The Mahama led NDC administration is saddled with creating illegal wealth for themselves, families, friends and for its cronies and lackeys. When any government is focused on itself instead of on the masses of the people regardless of political or tribal affiliation it's doomed to flounder and fail.
Is it commendable when everyone in the administration from the president to his appointees are over-spending their budget on frivolities? Would you rather use scanty financial resources to buy very expensive 4 wheelers for do- nothing ministers and their deputies who spend most of their working hours running their mouths at Radio FM station talk shows and TV studios or pay salaries for hundreds of poor school teachers and health care workers? What are our national priorities?
This administration has borrowed too much money with very little to show for it. How would you explain away the ballooning deficit when this administration is the first and only one to benefit from crude oil exports, no matter how small?
Where do they get all the money to bribe chiefs, traditional rulers and citizens with 4 wheelers, laptop computers, I-phones, tablets and all those sleazy items in exchange for their votes during election years? We cannot run down a country like this and expect to make progress. These are very bad indicators for progressive governance and whichever administration indulges in such acts must be rejected by the people.

Who would in their right senses vote for Mahama and by extension ndc aagain? For if Mahama knowing he would need votes for a second term can subject Ghanaians to this wahala we dare not make any mistake.
