You are sick in the mind. So sick in the mind you need to see a shrink.
Yes, we won't be borrowing now had the NPP and NDC not sold us down the river all over again.

I am beginning to read more about the Production Sharing Agreement. In fact, there is more to do by parliament (and our politicians) to ensure we derive the most benefit from our wealth. Anyway this is a topic for another day!
Good day.
Thanks.

Good to learn that you are reading up on this PSA thing. Can the same be said about our lame brain technocrats advising the govt?
One of the shocking things Efo Solo faced in his early days of this Campaign of Enlightenment was the response he was getting from Editors and the many advisers to govt alike, some of the latter for decades. As for the Editors of our newspapers, esp. the state ones, they plainly proclaimed their ignorance on the topic and so were reluctant to publish what they could not defend, they said. The oil companies took advantage of this paucity of knowledge about the subject and practically mopped up all astute, young journalists for some courses, usually one year Masters courses, abroad. Upon return, some have been put on permanent "solis" dubbed retainers, thereby practically buying them up! The inside info is they can't even do simply calculations on the subject because the courses they were enrolled in were just mickey mouse courses scratching the topic.
Our big men, some with PhD? They'd read and proclaimed that it wasn't their area of specialisation and so unable to give an opinion! Phew! Besides, the white man came to discover the oil and so was entitled to what they are getting just like for gold and other minerals! Really? I had to console Efo Solo and explained to him that, the fact that some have PhD after their names didn't mean that they knew about/study oil and gas like him who was a senior accountant with Texaco in the 1970s and lectured students on the topic in Nigeria in the late 70s and early 80s. Moreover, slave and colonial mentalities are still weighing them down heavily! But they are the people advising on the issue, for heavens sake!
It is a pity we can't reveal publicly details of some of those encounters, for obvious reasons.
I shall fwd one very important indep. research work on the topic to you. It says it all. You have to be careful with the researches sponsored by the oil companies.
