Behind closed doors she gives Woyome a hug and a pat on the back amid chants of "we made it, we made it" but in public it is a different story. The AG made it abundantly clear that the she's got the peoples back and will do everything within its power to retrieve every penny that was illegally paid to Woyome. Unknown to the public the real plan was A Plan To Fail. Though it was easier the first time to win this case than to lose it the AG purposely failed to put together a plan that would ensure a one touch victory. President Mahama said a short while ago that Ghanaians have short memories so it was anticipated that the public would react noisily and disappointingly to the judge's verdict but it'd be all over in 3-4 weeks.
What's the AG going to do differently this time and why didn't she do it the first time? It's too little too late and the public should not expect any major shift from the original verdict. Meanwhile I join hands with those calling on Mrs Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong , the AG, to resign because in the case of Alfred Agbesi Woyome against the state she chose not to defend the interests of the state, her employer and has by this token declared herself as public enemy number one.

I agree. This case was a pathetic ploy to frustrate the SC decision since the NDC would have to return donations received from this scam-artist. The AG is appealing but doing nothing to enforce SC order

The Woyome saga took root during the Kufour NPP administration; any blame of negligence or malfeasance starts with the ex-president, his AG and a majority in parliament that should have known but turned the other way so fraud can be perpetuated on the public by the president who was their party leader.
I dare every member of Ghana's parliament during the period of 2000 to 2008 to deny they did not know how the Chinese obtained part of the stadium renovation contract and how other stadium contract was executed. The short end of the Woyome saga is that parliamentarians should have known that contracts between government and parties of foreign ownership required their approval. Parliament should have asked how those entities on the stadium projects obtained their respective contracts and above all who received payments for the stadium renovation project if parliament is the sole agency with oversight of the project as so ordered by the Supreme Court in the case of Amidu V Woyome.
One would be hardly pressed, if you're NPP card carrying member to explain how Kufour and his AG, Nana Akufo-Addo, could have pursued Tsikata for events under a previous administration while a crime of skirting procurement processes of Ghana is undertaken by the same Kufour and company. Blaming the current AG is a no brainer for NPP and closet admirers but the hard work has to be done by Ghanaians with care and love for mother Ghana; it requires a fair and impartial dispensation of justice. Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is an ardent critic of NDC administrations but without an ounce of intellectual honesty or principled stance.

I agree with u that it was a grand collusion to defraud the state which succeeded under a corrupt, inept and outrightly criminal government. However, I disagree with u when u queried why a lower court was hearing a case concluded by a superior case. The two cases were different. If the two cases were the same there wouldn't be the need. Again, disagree with u on the point of AG resigning NCOs the reckless judge asked why prominent witnesses in the whole mess were not called to testify. This call by the judge was reckless and unnecessary. We have always known the position of Barton Oduro, Betty, neequaye etc. Calling them would have been a disaster for the States case. What the judges should have called for was a prosecution of all those involved.
Appealing a case doesn't mean producing fresh evidence. It means AG disagree on the point if law which I agree. Reading the judgement the judge was imbalanced and poor in his understanding of issues. I strongly believe an appeal would succeed.

Ahoofe, there's no doubt that the AG's office bungled the Woyome case, intentionally. However, your penchant for deception is hughlighted in your article by the following statement of yours: "If, indeed, the trial judge made the preceding observation with the moral gravity of a distinguished Ghanaian citizen, then, needless to say, the best course of action ought to have been for Justice Ajet Nassam to have declared a mistrial, if he was fully aware that Attorney-General Appiah-Oppong was hell-bent on botching the case."
What grounds have you laid down to support your call for a mistrial? How on earth does the observation of the Judge about the Ag's failure to properly prosecute the case against Woyome the crook be grounds for declaring a mistrial? I bet you can't come out with another serial lie to support your voodoo law claim. Okoampa-Ahoofe and Woyome are two peas in a pod, they're both frauds, liars, amd masters of deceptions.
