I am really surprise about the thinking of some NPP members. Kufour won election twice, taking us from opposition to government.
Nana Addo took us from government to opposition and failed twice to win easy election like 2012 with Prof. Mills death.
Instead of us to sit down and find out why Nana Addo failed us in 2008 and 2012 as demanded by an objective person like Dr Arthur K, you are blaming Kufour.
Who else do we have to blame for Nana Addo monumental failure to win elections - we have blame Kufour, Alan, Otumfoo, Dr Afari-Djan for him losing the 2012 election. The said thing is blaming Justice Atuguba for Nana failure and blaming Alan for not attending court proceedings leading to Nana losing the court case.
My brothers and sisters in NPP, let's us realise now that, Nana is not God and therefore has some weakness which we need to analyse and find solutions to it to defeat NDC and stop the hero worshipping of Nana who has not achieved anything for NPP but rather reduce our our win to only one and half (Ashanti and half eastern).

It is not that I totally support your argument, but I think this is one of the best well written articles I have read. I am a PhD student and my professor has always been advising me to use simple and clear sentences in writing my articles. I read your article and understood everything. If you are to write articles for publication in top journals, I can assure you that your papers will always be accepted. Kwame Okuampa or whatever he calls himself should read this article and learn something from it. It is not about using big english words that indicates one knows, it is about achieving the purpose of your communication- the target audience getting the message you are putting accross.
Keep it up man, and write more of this in the future. Well done

Goodman, good for you that you're sticking to your professor's keep it simple advice . It's a priceless advice because as your professor, he knows you inside out. In effect, he's saying "don't dabble yet in impressionism because your understanding of the english language now is just average". Don't be tempted to use words and phrases you don't understand very well.
I live in the US where Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe lives . There are no big words here . Word usage depends on factors that include the user's word power, where and when you want to use it. Yes, there's the target audience but your choice of words must be used with a clear understanding of those words, harmonising them in such a way they blend with each other, producing the sweet melody of understanding in the ears of the audience. Your style is yours only. Leave the politics of Okoampa-Ahoofe's writing style to the literary critics. He has his target audience and I believe you're not considered a part of this group.

Stop your divisionist tactics. What's wrong with being inclusive and expanding the party's base to include former members of other political parties especially the CPP when our detractors often label us as the mate meho party? And what's wrong with the party's electoral college choosing the best qualified among the field of contestants as Presidential candidate and what if the eventual winner chooses a faithful NPP member who happens to have CPP roots as his running mate ? You are parochial and narrow-minded and just playing into the waiting cold arms of the party's adversaries and protagonists. Gotta be smarter than you think you are.
NDC out
