People of La Dadekotopon, I have a thought to share with you. I send you my best regards. (mii hany3 omanye) I believe there are a lot of very respectable and decent people among you who are very worried about what your 'MOUTH PIECE' in parliament is today. (I mean the person representing you in parliament) He sums up what is suppose to come from La Dadekotopon. I know many communities just like you have made mistakes by electing people who have nothing in common with the values of the communities they represent. IT WAS BY MISTAKE THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED. YOU CAN REDEEM YOURSELVES WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE AGAIN. I know come 2016, you will not let your brothers and sisters who are less fortunate to go to school impose a character like AMASA NAMOALE alias BBC NEWS!!!!! on you again. You can succeed in doing that by educating them, that, it takes more than akp3t3shie or what one will eat at a particular time to make one happy. One can be happy when one has a respectable representative in parliament who thinks about Ghana, and will work to bring progress in the lives of those he represents and the nation at large, by supporting programs and policies that will give birth to these. Not someone who will fully SUPPORT A BAD CITIZEN LIKE WAYOME TO DUPE HIS OWN COUNTRY. Amasa Namoale thinks the money given to Woyome is ''GOVERNMENT MONEY'', an old mentality that means it is nobody's money and therefore it is ok to be stolen. This way of thinking has destroyed many state agencies. Amasa Namoale has for some time now been posting irresponsible comments about what he thinks concerning the Wayome saga. Some of which are ''WAYOME DESERVE THE MONEY'', ''LEAVE WAYOME ALONE, HE DESERVE THE MONEY'' ''USELESS FORMER AG/ MARTIN AMIDU IS JUST A PATHETIC LIAR AND A HYPOCRITE'' among some of his irresponsible comments. A few days ago, he granted an interview to a radio station, where he declared his support for Wayome and urged him to sue government for more money. I don't think this is the kind of person you want to see in parliament, let alone represent the good people of LA DADEKOTOPON. So please, people of LA DADEKOTOPON, REDEEM YOUR GOOD NAME BY VOTING OUT THIS CHAFF, CALLED AMASA NAMOALE IN 2016, Replacing him with a more credible son of your area. Thank you all. I HAVE NEVER WITNESS UNPATRIOTIC BEHAVIOR BY ANY POLITICAL PARTY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE LIKE THE USELESS NDC PARTY.
It is astonishing that there are people in the ruling USELLESS NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS PARTY who think WAYOME deserve the money illegally paid to him. Some have come out to make that clear. How many still believe the same but are silent remain unknown, but it is clear with the way HONOURABLE MARTIN AMIDU, HONOURABLE WITH THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD, is seen and treated by the NDC party tells what their stand is in this matter. HOW A POLITICAL PARTY THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE INTEREST OF GHANAIANS CAME THIS FAR, STILL PUZZLES ME. Is the Ghananian population dominated by fools? I mean people who are only interested in licking boots of politicians and getting 'akpetteshie and a few other handouts once in every four years, or they are simply dominated by lazy tribes who discriminates against other tribes that are hardworking, and as such will do everything for all of us to remain poor? (ni eborwor f33) kind of attitude. Why will people be on the side of someone who attempts to dupe Ghana, and sideline A GOOD CITIZEN LIKE MARTIN AMIDU who had fought for the return of Ghana's money? This money can change the lives of children of poor people whose children still study under trees in today's world, but whose vote matters very much every four years but are not human beings thereafter. So, my question is: IS THE NDC PARTY RULING TODAY A GANG OF PEOPLE WHO ARE THERE TO FILL THEIR POCKETS AND LEAVE US IN A WORSE CONDITION THAN THEY MET US? if your answer is ''I THINK SO'' then please VOTE OUT THE USELESS NDC PARTY IN 2016, BECAUSE THEY ARE OF NO USE TO US.

Kojo Appiah-kubi,
Kudos for this essay that seeks to explain progress in industry, employment, economics, over the years in Ghana, utilizing "data"as performance metrics, at different times in history.
We must be careful, however, in our comparisons to compare like to like. As such, if we are talking about "The failing Mahama’s transformation agenda", we may not compare Mahama's performance in 2014 to a performance that existed in 2004.
But we could explicitly indicate a baseline (end of NPP government, when Mahama took over the government after the death of Professor Mills (or the two-fer - when the Mills-Mahama government assumed control of the government), compared to today, for each data point.
Any one of those cases is technically a hard task on account of lack of longitudinal data in our African.Ghanaian case.
There is another approach, but perhaps no less challenging due to same difficulties with data: a year-to-year (or beginning-to-current) comparison of Mahama's performance since Mahama assumed control of the government. Even for those scenarios, we may have to tease out factors outside the control of Mahama (i.e. fall in the price of oil).
READ: "...The falling investments in the manufacturing sector seem also to be compounded by the massive successive declines in government investment spending and other government capital expenditure, which have fallen in absolute and relative terms under President Mahama Since 2008 total government investment spending, for instance, has declined by more than 50% of total government expenditure from 36% in 2008 to less than 17% in 2014 and this has affected negatively the manufacturing sector..."
OUR COMMENT: That is spot on!
THEN THIS: "...Another indicator that seems to underscore the recent rapid declines in the level of invest¬ments and the capacity, particularly, of the manufacturing sector, is also the consistent decline in the share of credit of DMBs to the sector from 21.4% in 2004 to less than 8% 2014..."
WE SAY: That does not make it with respect to Mr. Mahama's performance!
Again, thanks for your interest in telling important national "stories" with hard "data".
We need more of you!

Countries around the globe where it's citizens with classroom acquired credentials worth all the trees cut down to print their diplomas and certifications show remarkable development progress seen in the areas of national work product, national infrastrucure, exports of products of global importance, planned land use and development, effective government institutions and above all signs of applicable classroom earned intellect at work. With Ghana we acquire our classroom intellect just to bring credence to baseless articles we publish in local media or partisan discussion we choose to participate and the presumed wisdom a majority of the an uninformed public confer unto the educated.
In a true research paper for peer review Dr. Appiah-Kubia knows he would be compelled to provide a listing of those production industries, what products they put out, the sources of raw materials they use, local or import, and the number of such industries prior to the current government administration to help shed light on actions or lack of actions thereof by government that has been detrimental to private industries in Ghana.
My source of frustration comes from presumed educated and political educated class in Ghana and from those in the Diaspora of Ghanaian parentage or otherwise who literally take their learned research, thesis or dissertation writing format as applicable and to hold true even in cultures and communities where the basics are nonexistent.
Besides the mineral, natural and human resources we export Ghana has never had a viable industrial base worth a nickel since the 70's. Calling our so called industries that are built on finished and pre-assembled imported products and consumables from every corner of the world to sell in Ghana does not and will not meet anyone's definition of a manufacturing industrial base. It is a disservice to Ghana, an insult to whatever is left as intelligence in Ghana and a gloss over of facts on the ground in Ghana couched in politically biased prism and terms.
Kufour and other known political operatives in Ghana took to farming because they are aware of the tax breaks and import licenses government will grant to farming fronts. Their actions in office did not reflect farming/agricultural priorities. No goverment in Ghana ever showed restrained use of the national purse or credit and they all left a deficit on the books at the end of their term in office for future Ghanaians to handle. Failings in Ghana started with the 1966 coup which promised us all a land flowing with milk and honey without hardwork and all the freedoms and liberties to be chaotic and non conformance to law and order which has seen an exponential rise in bribery and corruption with the side effect of moral decadence. We earned the rights to live in misery; let us enjoy.
