WE HAVE LIVED TOGETHER PEACEFULLY UNTIL THE USELESS NDC PARTY WAS FORMED.
''We have been vice presidents for far too long, it is time you make ONE OF YOUR OWN President.'' - John Mahama.
WHAT ARE THE REST OF US TO JOHN MAHAMA?
WE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM.
THE USELESS NDC PARTY IS TURNING ONE TRIBE AGAINST ANOTHER
TURNING ONE RELIGION AGAINST ANOTHER
THERE WAS EVEN AN ATTEMPT BY ATTA MILLS TO poison football clubs with politics just for the SELFISH INTEREST of the USELESS NDC PARTY.
Everything that unites us as a peaceful nation is under attack by the USELESS NDC PARTY. Before they divide Ghana and leave us in shreds VOTE THE USELESS NDC PARTY OUT IN 2016.
We have lived peacefully without any TRIBAL OR RELIGIOUS POLITICS before the USELESS NDC PARTY WAS FORMED and their manifesto signed with blood. We don't need any division in Ghana. WE ARE INTER-MARRIED, AND WE ARE ONE PEOPLE. NDC IS DANGEROUS, VOTE THEM OUT IN 2016.

An advice from a sensible GA who can read through the lines.

Boko Haram emerged as a result of decades of unsuccessful effort to achieve the rights and liberties of Muslim Students in Nigerian schools. In most of the schools, Church services are compulsory and the right environment is unavailable for these students to observe their five daily prayers. After years of fruitless effort to change the situation with its concomitant discomforts, they suspiciously perceived secular education as “evangelical tool” intended to spread Christianity. Since then they do not only kill Christians who they consider as champions of the system, but also Muslims who maintain any form of relation with secular schools.
Whiles we all condemn their horrendous acts; one just can’t understand why our authorities exhibit sheer laxity and total inertia to sensitive issues till things get out of hand.

Who stopped Muslims from building their own schools. If they are true Muslims they should sacrifice to build good schools with their Mecca money so that government will fund them. The fact is that Muslims erroneously see the mission schools as a threat to the spread of Islam but they refuse to know that what they are fighting for will eventually lead to the monumental growth of the Scripture Union( Since SU don't need space and time to practice their faith), Occultism( which will be more attractive to Muslim youth like SAKAWA) and Religious strife( since Muslims will like to use unorthodox means to suppress the spread of Pentecostalism in Muslim schools).

THE RAGING DEBATE ON UNRESTRAINED RELIGIOUS FREEDOM BEING CHAMPIONED BY GHANAIAN MUSLIMS-MY TAKE
The most preposterous argument so far on the debate on religious freedom in Ghana by the "freedom fighters" is that it is nonsense to refer to a typical Islamic country like Saudi Arabia as being oppressive and intolerant to non muslims for which reason muslims in Ghana should not have the moral right to demand for unrestricted religious freedom everywhere in our country. They posit that unlike Ghana which is secular, Saudi Arabia is an Islamic republic.
The question then is if Ghana was a pagan republic, as 84% of Ghanaians are pagan by islamic standard, would the country have the right to treat muslims as subhumans as being done to non muslims in Saudi Arabia?
I think it is unnecessary to force muslim students to join in church services. The missionary schools can take their religious lessons to the classroom where it can be made compulsory for all, howbeit at an extra cost to those schools, as more resources and teaching hours would be required.
My only problem with the agitations are that they are a clandestine move to institutionalize islam thereby threatening our existence as a free or secular state. It is also a mark of hypocrisy and insensitivity, to say the least, on the part of muslims to be so properly organized and united, and surprisingly very loud in condemning people for trampling on their freedom to practice their religion when they have never shown any such unity and passion in condemning people for persecuting and killing non muslims in the name of islam.
Before you think you are being persecuted somewhat for not being given the right to fully practice your islam everywhere; I want you to come to think of the sharia for which you are not a muslim if you don't believe in it.
In a sharia court, the testimony of non muslims in half that of muslims. Non muslims living under sharia are to pay jizzya, a special tax placed on them for not being muslims. Those who for any reason cannot afford the tax are given the choice to convert to islam or be executed.
A non muslim is executed if found guilty of killing a muslim, whereas a muslim found guilty for a similar offense against a non muslim is given a lighter sentence.
Church services are strictly monitored to ensure that christian worships are not loud enough to be heard by any muslim passing by. Lest they indirectly proselytize, as sharing the gospel with muslims is considered haram.
Even muslims themselves are non free under sharia as apostasy or choosing to leave islam is punishable by death.
In view of these, wherein lies your moral right to demand for religious freedom, if at all you have been denied any(the appeal to Ghana being secular not withstanding)?

Muslims don't get up one day to call for an islamic state. Usually they start by playing the victim and when they succeed in generating enough hate for non muslims among themselves, they wage a full scale jihad, which is a major pillar in islam, on everybody, including fellow muslims who stand on their way or who are perceived to be practicing a corrupt form of islam. We are not oblivious of the fact that the agitations are just the beginning of several demands to come.

..Mahama(a Gonja) is following the prescriptions of OIC.You remember a Muslim MP from Gonjaland declared that adulterous women should be stoned to death. Again Boko Haram in Akyem terrorized Muslim women for buying food from Christians yet the IGP(a Gonja Muslim) kept mute. Muslims burnt down a Christian mission house in Atebubu yet the IGP was again silent. AMA banning churches in classrooms, Northern Regional Minister accusing the Christian clergy of encouraging politicians to be corrupt. These are all plans aimed at suppressing Christianity to please the OIC. These are all indicators that Mahama is feverishly handing over Ghana to the Organisation of Islamic Countries for Money. We should remember Islam is useless without direct state support and so Mahama is providing that support to Muslims to grow in Ghana whilst at the same time suppressing Christians. He is doing this because Islam as a religion is useless without direct political/government intervention.

Why are so many Women converting to Islam ?
According to "The Almanac Book of Facts", the population increased 137% within the past decade, Christianity increased 46%, while Islam increased 235%.
In a recent poll in the (US), 100,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam, Why?
It is Clear why Christians are converting.
1. Christian Scientists are declaring the Koran is from God. Visit Here for Christian and atheist Scientists who convert to Islam and why:
2. The Christian Bishops and Priests are admitting the Bible has tensions.
3. Jesus is a Muslim:
The question still remains, why are more women converting than men to Islam ?
Perhaps they realize their Soul is worth the Factual Research.
1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original
Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden
tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it
was Adam Not Eve {Qur'an 7:19-25}
2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a
loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Qur'an says both
are an Equal Blessing { Qur'an 42:49}
3. The Bible Forbids Women from Speaking in
church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Qur'an says
Women Can argue with the Prophet {58:1}
4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as
an Adulteress, while men are not {Matthew 5:31-32}. The
Koran does Not have Biblical double standards
{ Qur'an 30:21}
5. In The Bible, Widows and Sisters do Not
Inherit Any Property or Wealth, Only men
do{Numbers 27:1-11}The Koran Abolished this
male greediness { Qur'an 4:22} and God Protects
All.
6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives{I Kings 11:3}
In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only
under certain situations (with the Wife's
permission)and Prefers you Marry Only One
Wife{ Qur'an 4:3} The Koran gives the Woman
the Right to Choose who to Marry.
7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not
pledged to be married and rapes her and they are
discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty
shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he
has violated her. He can never divorce her as long
as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}
One must ask a simple question here, who is
really punished, the man who raped the woman or
the woman who was raped? According to the
Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life
with the man who Raped You.
The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book
86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:" It is
essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the
marriage)".
Would the Christian men Reading this prefer the
Women they know to Be Christian or Muslim?
8. The Bible also asks Women to wear veils as in
Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}, this lowers the
chance of rape, (God Forbid), see statistic link
below.
9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a
100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave
Women Voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.
10. Islam has unconfined Women and has given them
the human right to reach for the sky. There have been
Muslim Women Presidents through out the centuries,
but to this date, the oppressive mentality of the
men in the Western U.S.A. has stopped any Women from becoming
Presidents in predominately Christian countries,
while the Muslim countries have voted for and
elected Female Presidents.

Muslim scholars always deceive people that the reason why Muslims don’t eat pork is that hey want to show some sort reverence to pigs. This is because the animal saved the prophet of Islam and his troops from dying from thirst. An Islamic tradition has it that whiles prophet Muhammed and his followers were searching for water a pig came from no where and led them to a fountain of water. This should sound splendid and pleasant to the ear, isn’t it? In fact it is a lie( TAQQIYYA) from the pit of hell. Well if you know the sort of hatred Muslims have for pigs one will begin to wonder if what the Islamic scholars are saying is true or not. In fact if you want to see how Muslims hate pigs with passion you let a pig stray towards a Mosque and it is there you will know you are dealing with demons in human form. Recently in Egypt when there was an outbreak of swine flu, authorities there wiped out pigs from the face of that land even when scientificc evidence by the WHO suggests that swine flu has nothing to do with pigs. The question then is why and the answer is simple. A reliable tradition has it that when Muhammed died his partly decomposed body was placed in a tent pending further consultation with the Muslim Ulma to decide whether to secretly bury him and claim the angels carried him to heaven through Jerusalem or bury him near a Mosque. While consultations were going on a pig sneaked through the other side of the tent and consumed a sizable portion of the partly decomposed body of the prophet. This is why Muslims hate pork with passion.

Ayikoi Otoo surely has misrepresented his Profession in this discourse with those comments he made. But what is most important is for us all to be extra vigilant to shift our thinking gears into high speed in order to be abreast with the realities of the day in which widespread Religious conflicts are still flaring around.
Some Politicians hovering around like vultures always look for situations like this to jump into to feed on the carcasses they think the case is making out of us. They would even attempt to aggravate the situation for their own selfish and personal goals. Vigilance is thus needed here.
We, in Ghana, must, even in the face of this current issue between the Muslims and the Christians, count ourselves lucky that our forebears rightly chartered a path for us that facilitates our religious cohabitation, despite the various levels of restrictions within any of the Religions we practice.
It is true that we have long lived in Peace with each other, regardless of our religious affiliations. But that must not blind us to the fact that an eruption of certain radical thinking in any faith could badly influence us to make terrible mistakes that would offset the Peace we have been enjoying for ages.
Regarding the Constitutional guarantees this Author mentioned, I would say he is absolutely correct. I cannot imagine how someone with Ayikoi Otoo's legal background could miss that. Our Constitution guarantees freedom of Religion, freedom of Association, and freedom of Speech. Any intra-Institutional regulations cannot supersede our Constitutional requirements, especially where those regulations tend to abrogate or suppress individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
However, in exercising any of these freedoms, we must be cognizant of the fact that there are Constitutional mandates that curb how far those freedoms could be enjoyed. And those are the mandates that criminalize any such exercise of freedoms that undermines the right of the State to exist, or threatens the life of the individual. In other words, for as long as in exercising these rights entities do not infringe upon other parts of the Constitution, all is fine.
Now, we have to understand that many of us have long remained uncomplaining about certain issues that we have been living with out of either ignorance of our rights that we could have demanded, or simply out of acquiescence due to our ability to cope with those issues. Therefore, like Mr. Nuhu mentioned, if at any point in time in the future we realize the need to demand those rights, people should not spontaneously react harshly to that demand. This is what the Muslim Students seem to be facing with the Christian Clergies and Politicians like Ayikoi Otoo.
The long recognition of their minority status, and its concomitant fear of backlash from the Christian majority, coupled with possible lack of the right leadership to champion the Muslims' cause, might have also delayed their making that demand.
In the most straightforward and shortest way to resolve this issue, I would say all we need to do is to, first, check its constitutionality. If that proves legal, we then have to find out if, in fact, the Muslims' complaint of being denied the freedom to enjoy those rights is valid. And if their complaint proves valid, we then ensure the implementation of all necessary regulations to allow them enjoy those rights.
The above, however, seems a much simplistic guidance to settle the current issue. The unfriendly, harsh reaction of the Christian Clergy to the Muslim Students' demand must inform us of how difficult is it to change a long established norm, even if it is illegal. The Christians might have been used to the status quo that the Muslims are now complaining about. We must therefore acknowledge such initial reaction by the Christians are normal and understandable. But for a full, fair and permanent resolution of the crisis, the response by any entities interested must be totally objective, pragmatic, persuasive, unemotional and affirming of our Constitution.
That is why I suggest that in trying to resolve this issue, surely, the behaviors of the ISIS and Boko Haram deserve to be at the back of our minds, not for blaming as influencing the Muslims' decision to demand the rights they are protesting for, but as a dangerous development our treatment of the demand must not lead us to.
We must continue in our longstanding spirit of tolerance and peaceful cohabitation to fully resolve this issue between the Muslims and Christians, and not allow the fear or resentment of the ISIS or Boko Haram ideology hound us into rash and unconstitutional decisions on that issue.
Our Christian brethren must exercise restraint to allow their best and legal judgment seep into their hearts for a lasting and fair decision to resolve the issue peacefully.
Our Muslim brethren must also appreciate that gesture of peaceful consideration of their demand and persist in sensible, rational debate to prove their eligibility for the demand made, even as it seems all too obvious and inalienable.
We must, also, not be oblivious of the fact that as the Muslims demand for their constitutionally guaranteed rights as a group, our Laws also provide for groups to allow individual rights to prevail within them. Therefore, when all is settled with the resolution of this particular demand for exercising their religious practices, the Muslims must, by the same legal basis, acknowledge and uphold our Constitutional requirements that individuals within their fold could opt for practicing differently from the group norms.
For example, individuals who want to marry outside the Religion, or not wear the headscarf, must be allowed to do so without any unconstitutional monkey-wrench thrown in their way by the Religion's Authorities.
Freedom of Religion under our Constitution first addresses the individual's liberties before the association's or organization's. Any institutional regulation that tends to trample on the individual's rights must not be entertained or encouraged. If the Government is going to intervene to ensure the Christians comply with the Constitution's requirement to allow the Muslims among us enjoy their freedoms fully, the same Government would have to ensure individual rights within the Muslim Religion, and any other Institution, for that matter, are not confiscated by the Institution.
