  Akyem-Maase is different from Kumasi. Akyem-Maase is located in the East Akim Municipal district whilst Kumasi is the Ashanti Regional capital.
  
  People from Akyem-Maase are Akyems(Akyem-Abuakwa) whilst indigenes from Kumasi are called Asantis.
  
  Government officials and the general public must take note of the distinction.
