Effective immediate solutions should register an improvement in the situation. What the author has enumerated as short term measures et al are anything but short term because the situation persist or at best ineffective.
A gov't that is unable to anticipate looming problems and put in place measures to avert these problems but rather sit navel gazing until the problem hits us and scrambles for solutions is not fit for purpose.
Indeed, your peace of mind will be disturbed because you are on the gravy train and would rather Ghanaians leave you to enjoy your freebies in peace.
A party without principle reposed with power without purpose can only form a gov't without direction.

And if it so, that our technocrats misinformed the government, then why can't they be fired, Mr Quarmyne? All that he produce in the long term was some miners plant of about 80mgw.ln the short term Pres.Kufour brought in some over one hundred toy procured generators which guzzle too much fuel.Kufour did tji for convenience knowing very well that he is leaving power and due to HIPIC and time frame , he cant do anything meaningful to augment the shortfall.So he left us in this dire situation. lt is Kofour who has let us down so much.lf only he has done a little more things could have been different. lt didnt surprise me a bit to see him and Mahama in the Flagstaff House in front of the daily papers.ls he in SOLIDARITY or encouragement?
