Well said. We in Ghana do not want to be enlightened by those who know because we are indisciplined and stubborn. If we continue being stiff-necked and always craving for materialistic needs, then we cannot progress because our greed and selfishness will block our progress. Many Ghanaians today have set their sights on crooked means and crudity to amass wealth, even to the point of murder. If we refuse to seek proper education grounded in discipline, proper mind-conditioning, undergoing stringent educational tests and transformation, I am afraid we shall continue producing zombies and dimwits. Your concerns on leadership are noted, but the onus lies on the electorate to elect humble, hardworking, and people-centred and selfless leaders to positions of responsibility.

if only Ghanaians will listen. our main problem as a nation has got something to do with our mindset. We feel very inferior to the point that a foreign high school student is held high in esteem than our own educational elites. Why on earth will a state institution import something that can be produced locally from oversees?
Our educational system is poorly designed, a whole lots of misplaced priorities here and there.....just to only a few. Over all our problem is our mediocre mindset.

Our first president perfectly fit into your description, maam! He built roofs without foundations. He wanted to became president of Africa when most of African states were still under the colonial rule. He talked of uniting African States when he was busily dividing Ghana into small regions. He isolated part Bono Ahafo, Central and Western regions from Greater Asante region, a clear case of gerrymandering which left Asante the only culturally monolithic region in Ghana. Charity, they say, begins at home, He rule the country with varander and standard seven boys, the likes of DC KWAME Kwaakye and Krobo Adusei, who had no clue as to how to run national businesses. What kills is when he use our cocoa money to freely educate criminals who would later take over the affair of the presidency of maame Ghana to create, loot and share, and wantonly dissipate our oil money with impunity. Meanwhile the kids of those hard working cocoa farmers were seen loitering around in their destitution for lack of funds to educate them. Some walk barefooted with pieces of cloth hanging around their neck( locals used to term it as korla). Some of the lucky kids in parts of Bono Ahafo and Asante could be seen in those days wearing two or three pair of shorts at a go and their black butts were still exposed to the naked eyes of the general public. That is Kwame Nkrumah for you.
