These Ankaase royals are the ones who brought longivity, stability and development to Kumawu. They are the chosen ones by God and accepted by the departed spirits and oracles of the land.
On the other hand, The Ananangya/Odumase folks migrated from Assumja to Apemso, present day Kumawu. Their barbaric action against The Apemso Royals to crown themselves rulers of the land invited the wrath of the departed souls and oracles of the land, avenged the atrocities against the Apemso royals with DEATH; hence a generational curse which went on as was evidenced by untimely deaths and mental disorders amongst that group of immigrants. This went on until the reign of Nana Koduah Kokoo who consulted the oracles who instructed him what to do. He therefore went and brought his distant relatives who had NO BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS to neutralize and reverse the situation of untimely deaths. This is how Nana Koduah Kokoo brought Maame Ayo, whose descendants are The Ankaase Royals of Kumawu.
If THE Ananangya/Odumase folks claim that the Ankaase royals came later after they (Ananagya/Odumase) had arrived at Apemso, it is true BUT they should remember that before their arrival, Apemso existed with their royalty and administration. The originator of Apemso was Nana Akyea Kwaffo; his descendants are the present day Nananom Yaadwaasefo). If The Ankaase's cannot reign as claimed The Ananangya/Odumase's, then authomatically they have also disqualified themselves because they migrated from Assumja.
Barima Tweneboa Kodua served and paid the ultimate price for Asanteman. By that single act of bravery, he inscribed his name on stone in the annals of history in which Kumawuman are basking in its glory. However, he was not the originator of Apemso nor Kumawu. There were chiefs before him.
Second: who can trace his lineage DIRECTLY to Barima Tweneboa Kodua? I mean blood lineage as to being nephew, grandson. NO ONE , BECAUSE BARIMA TWENEBOA KODUA WAS A LONE CHILD THAT SURVIVED FROM HIS MOTHERS WOMB. All his siblings died at early age. This is history and FACT.
I will therefore urge everyone to stay calm and do some soul seraching. What benefit will it be if we continue on the path of LITIGATIONS? Is that what we need in this 21st Century? What legacy are we leaving for the generation yet unborn? Let us come together as a united people with a common purpose: LOVE, UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT. With God on our side, we shall succeed and leave a better tomorrow for our children and children's children. That used to be the Kumawu we came to inherit, where we were brothers and sisters. That's what made NANANOM STRONG.
I call upon Rockson Adofo to cease forthwith his unnecessary ranting and speculations. No Kumawuland has been given away, nor promise made to nobody.
