This author is the only one who was not in Ghana from 2000-2008 to have witnessed how Ghanaians suffered and became poorer from Dr. Bawumia's Dagatti economic policies.
To start with, Bawumia's Dagatti Ecomnomic style earned him much opprobrium from Ghanaians as it was not just his Dagatti Economics but also the cocaine trade which tagged Ghana cocaine coast rather than Gold Coast.
Actually, to labour the point, it was during the tenure of this Astute Dagatti Economist, Dr. I WAS NOT THERE BAWUMIA that Ghana's domestic expenditure was the highest almost using up all our GDP because he allowed some of the 17 thieves to import rice when we could have produced them in Ghana.
To continue with his Dagatti Astute economic policies, he sold our only drill ship because he had no clue about Hedge Funds and Certificateless Nana Akuffo Addo could neither go to court to defend Ghana than to take the short route of selling the drill ship. What happened to the proceeds is now history with Kronfuor Kufour's head on it.
If this Author wanted a proper Economic and Finance Guru, there is only one man in Ghana who understands risks and takes it to get Ghana oil and a whole corporation. This is what we call economic and finance guru not a Thief who comes and sell it all off.

Most African leaders have always been accused of misplacing their priorities and bad governance. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?
Governance under the NDC government is all about deceit and 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they're loosening theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said we should wait for a paradise in three years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

Some northerners I don't know how they reason. Dr Bawumia has been purposely chosen by Ganga arrogant Akufo Addo to get some votes from the muslim community not because NPP have seen anything good in him. Just as they did to the late vice president Ali Mahama and had to be forced by Asanties and Akyem NPP leaders to campaign even when was not feeling well, which cause his death. NPP have no respect for Muslims and Northerners, they normally choose a vice president from Northern-Muslim community and after no other muslim deserves a ministerial position or any other high position in the country. We did witness this in the kuffuor-led government. Don't fool yourself by writing this to promote Bawumia, if I were you I write to educate NPP to look for more human resources by going beyond only Bawumia for other muslims in their party. The best political party in the country which has respect for all and cut across all race, culture and religion is NDC. Everybody knew the best candidate who was supposed to lead the NPP slot in 2008 against Prez Mills was the Late Ali Mahama because of his experience as the vice president but NPP threw him out and went for their akan person Ganga Patapa Akufo Addo just because he(Ali Mahama) happened to be a northerner. Be wise but not be fool.

You are still novices in politics. It is not Bawuma or Akuffo Addo that will move Ghana forward. It is Ghanaians in general. No single person or party can do it. We only need an inspirational leader with the right vision to carry the whole of Ghana along towards prosperity. It is neither Bawumia, s book theory or Akuffo Addo, s legal practice experience. We need more than that. It is not just calling IMF , devicing some disjointed programs and projects etc. The duo do not possess any magic wand . Ghanaians as a whole have that wand.

Merry Christmas to fellow readers. Even though the season has been dry, we take consolation in our being alive n can communicate to the world on issues bothering ourselves and nation. Musa Superior will definately rate and talk well of his leader. Bawumia has made some strides for himself and his country but has not shown the sort of extra ordinary brilliance that the NPP folks including Superior are tauting. Let us give praise where it is due. It is because of these over praises, sychophancy and bootlicking that has landed our dear nation where it is. Let us live beyond partisan, personal parocial and group interests. Let us eschew selfish interest and promote interests that will make our dear nation great, strong and develop.

Dr. Bawumia is a young up and coming leader, but from his pronouncements, he does not appear to me to be that ready for leadership. I might be wrong though, but that is my observation. I still have not heard him answer the question as to how much old Ghanaian Cedis was collected for the change into the present Ghanaian currency. He was at the helm then, and if he does not know, who will know? He seems to have been quiet lately, I wonder why. Nana Addo took off to hide in London when the United Nations chief came all the way to President Mahama's court to confer with our President. He did not like to look insignificant, but Ghanaians know the truth. Long live Ghana.

Mr. Superior Muah you're as wrong in assessing the skills of Dr. Bawumia as a US$44 note; that's because there's no such note. Dr. Bawumia is an economist and a banker alright just as the many certified and registered lawyer or so called financial planners in Ghana who are more likely to have their office walls plastered with classroom acquired certificates and awards but nothing to show for relative to work product where it counts.
In the USA real economic leverage comes at the hands of its federal Reserve; everyone listen when they speak. This is so because the federal Reserve as an institution have setup practice, procedures and markers which are derived from true, authentic and proven application of economic principles. The Dr. Bawumia miracle in Ghana most Ghanaian like yourself and others in the NPP do tout is but a mirage. His impact on economic activities in Ghana was no where to be found while at the Bank ofor Ghana because the wonderful Bawumia did not leave permanent markers down that could become best economic practices and procedures.
Secondly he has been a critic of everyone and is yet to divulge to intelligent Ghanaians where he has been right on economic policies with sustainable activities. He has parlayed his statistical skills and showed us all in Ghana how conclusions derived by authors of statistical data and calculations are mostly flawed or skewed to provide basis for flawed and biased conclusion. During the case at the Ghana Supreme Court Dr. Bawumia wanted people to believe that data samples could be changed and will not affect outcomes because he said so even as he continued to drive home that rigging of votes do have negative outcome on election results. We keep banging our heads against brick walls in Ghana as we expect different results from an NPP or NDC parties that have never understood the very social and economic ideologies they tout/represent and the voter public, like you Mr. Muah continue to buy into. Visit either Dr. Bawumia and Nana Akufo-Addo in their communities and you will see the same filth on streets, same case of inadequate infrastructure of any kind and abundance of misery all around their own neighborhood like every where else. Their isolated expensive homes could not create the islands they preach because they like their counterparts in the NDC talk a good game but cannot practice the miracles they sell even in the communities they live.

Take the various lectures he gives, those are just economic historical facts put together and are nor rigorous in any manner of analysis. Then the tragedy was the redenomination of the cedi he masterminded.

Anytime I hear Ghanaians describing Bawumia as astute, and whatnot, I simply shake my head and say, it is the blind leading the blind indeed in Ghana. Ghana's economy is in a tailspin and the cedi is grasping for air, all because of the dumb head Bawumiah.
It is so sad that most Ghanaians cannot trace our current economic mess to Bawumia and Wampa who for pure political reasons, decided to redenominate the cedi. These fools were experimenting with our lives without the slightest consideration for macro economic principles when they pegged the cedi to the US dollar. Just knocking off zeroes from the cedi does not mean you have knocked off inflationary pressure from the economy. Currency traders are not so dumb like these twits at Bank of Ghana. The depreciation of the cedi started right after the redenomination in 2007 and these fools kept propping the cedi up by using up our scanty US dollar reserves.
I challenge Musah to review the work Bawumiah did at the Bank, and if he has no economic background to do so, then he should stop wasting our time.

What you've published here is total fiasco. Ghanaians were sick and tired of the economic hardships coupled with gross financial malfeasance and selfish as well as property owning democracy which were the light of the days of NPP during former President J.A. Kuffuor's regime I.e from year 2000-2008. These and many others were the reasons why Ghanaians kicked the NPP out of power. Dr. Bawumia and the NPP were burden on the Ghanaian community because they didn't know what they were doing at that time! I'm surprised you didn't mention the late Kodwo Baawiredu the then finance minister in your write up. Dr. Bawumia has nothing benefitting for the individual Ghanaian. He should challenge the status quo by doing just a little to alleviate poverty in his area, his hometown to be specific as the former deputy governor of the almighty bank of Ghana. He (Dr. Bawumia) should start something concrete, even two boreholes would do/show his seriousness. With all these, one does not need a prophet or a soothe-sayer to vote for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for His second term because He (John Mahama) came to revive the crunching economy of Ghana. A clear evidence is the Komenda Sugar factory which is serving as a source of employment to not only the youth, but to many Ghanaians now. Another evidence is the E-shaped classroom blocks which the NDC government is currently building in all disricts across this nation. Let us be honest to ourselves here. What else do you expect from a sitting President such as John Mahama?
John Dramani Mahama has been honoured across the globe due to his versatility he'd displayed during this era of global economic crunch to bringing the nation back to truck. The whole world knows that His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama has empathic understanding for the average Ghanaian. I write what I see!
