The problem is not just a problem of common sense. I think Ghanaians have common sense in General, but lack sense of duty, lack a drive for efficiency. and lack of professionalism. Don't forget that greed also plays a good part of the woes of the nation. I bet enough funds have been paid for enhancing the airport, but have ended in private pockets of corrupt leaders.
Furthermore, Kotoka Airport has no competition, and what do you expect from a company that holds absolute monopol?. A better international airport must be constructed in Sunyani a center of Ghana with equal distance and access to many regions. If Kotoka starts facing some real competition, the management will wake up!

If someone steals money earmarked for development, where lies the sense in this, when, to top it all, he will NOT be indicted? If you assess all public institutions you will find none in suitable management circumstances, and all those heading those institutions are in those positions because they're thought of as smart.

Any time I arrive at KIA, I feel ashamed because we are not on top of things. What are the priorities of our government? Why are they in government if they can't deliver?

Paul, do you know why this wouldn't make any impact?

How do you see management policies across Ghana and attitudes pertaining to these? Those working in management positions don't care two hoots about development projects or ideas in the national interests. This article WILL most certainly be trivialized and ignored, which is why most of us even find it hard to make civilized comments concerning critical issues affecting the country. I even doubt if the president himself takes any serious interest in issues at stake that could burnish his image if tried to tackle some of them. I was one of his greatest admirers but I ended up very much disillusioned.
It is only stunning that we others would keep talking about these disgraceful situations for long with no one visibly taking any interests in any.
Are we normal citizens of the world, aspiring, like others, to modern developmental objectives sweeping other nations everywhere?
Finally, are you serious in writing the article, thinking someone would mind?
