Corruption is thriving because the church has reneged on its spiritual duty. Politics pollutes the heart as power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Our men of God stand to be derailed should they venture into full time politics. They better concentrate on the core function assigned them by the Lord.

Who made these African so called pastors we are seeing today men and women of God?
The world knows that African pastors have turned the meaning of the scriptures (Bible) upside down.
They put fears into their own people and their style of preaching and their analysis about Gods Holy Book ,
the Bible to the Europeans and the other world sounds completely "ABSURD"
If you show a book written by them to an European christian he or she will tell you "Its only an African pastor who will write and preach the gospel
in this manner."
How do you expect them to enter politics when they only see witchcraft
demon possesed people and if it's not
husband then its the wife ,mother ,sister etc who is possesed without calling a spade a spade as Jesus Christ Of Nazareth did.
A Ghanaian pastor entering ghana politics will absolutely lead to insurgence in ghana and we will all live to regret.Let them keep blowing the trumpet but they must ask themselves if they are blowing the right trumpet because each and everyone will be judged on this earth before we die.

Mr. Darko, stop the lies, where in the bible did it mention Jesus being involve in politics? And what makes you think these so-called 'men of god' are any better than the politicians? They're wolves in sheepskin who are milking their gullible followers & living extravaganza lifestyles. The Jesus they claimed to follow was neither rich nor arrogant, unlike these fake 'men of god'. Isn't it ironic that the only way to strike rich in africa is either become a politician or a pastor?

Ghanaian economy will collapse if we allow the criminal pastors to join the criminal politicians.

It always baffles my mind that, whenever there is the need, hence search for solutions to serious problems confronting Africans, they turn to religion. And here comes Otchere Darko suggesting religious figures, probably pastors/imams/priest among others to fight corruption.
So is it these figures that are fighting and minimizing corruption in Europe, America and Asia? What kind of thinking is this? We Africans indeed have problem.
Let me paraphrase one US politician, who made an observation about religious figure to remind Mr. Darko. " You take people's money variously called offertories, tithes etc and keep promising them of heaven, yet you are telling us(politicians), that we are corrupt. What of you? You guys run the greatest gambling empire on earth"
Fighting corruption has nothing to do with religious figures. But all to do with enforcing the laid down laws for fighting it.

Hold Up Wait a Minute!!!
1. What happen to separation of church and state? Anybody?
2. Why is catholic priest not allowed to marry?
Can anybody do the honors and tell us why?
There are very good reasons for these setups. The first is checks and balances in governance. Religion is so complicated that, one’s religious view or practice may be offensive to another person. How then do you l want a pastor(man of God) or imam or a voodoo priest (this is also an acceptable freedom of worship right) to put in place parliamentary act that turns into law?
Can you see we would be heading down a slippery slope? If should the pastor want tithing compulsory, or the imam giving charity by-force or the voodoo priest wants giving of goats and cows the law. What would you say to that? “Which of these people are actually men and women of God?” Who are all these people? Are they all actually doing God’s work or chasing after money and putting family-less old ladies into witches’ camp? Can you imagine one of these people putting my mother into a witch’s’ camp? I do not think so.
Second question is “Why is catholic priest not allowed to marry”. A wise person actually decreed this some long time ago; that is why you don’t normally see a priest in a street fight. Let’s take for example, there was a beat-down at the local store, then someone comes in and tells the priest “your wife is taken to the hospital and she cannot make it”. I will let you think about it for a minute. Can the priest do his job of soul saving for at least a week? What about those who would die before the priest resumes his duties after taking care of his family?
As for corruption, “kalabule” or Quid pro quo, it will take a POWERFUL LAW and STRONG AND STRIGENT law enforcement without nepotism to eradicate. Go look at yourselves; see what you want and if you cannot get it. Are you willing to bribe someone for it? If yes, then you are part of the canker. We all need to change

Bizarre commentary for today's age, totally awry with the most basic tenets of modernism, progress, equality, democracy, and the history of human beings!
1. Jesus Christ did not establish "the Christian faith".
2. No group of "churches" will " first look within themselves and weed out the 'stinky ones' among them." It has never happened in history, and never will. In this statement, we find our escape clause, for sanity, democracy, and community.
3. Blindly assuming and implying that Ghana is a "christian" country is a huge disservice to Oman Ghana, and the history at bottom!

The people you refer to as Men of God should not make politics their career. Some of them state that as citizens they should also comment on national issues. That is their view but they have succeeded in turning their churches into an extension of the political arena. They chose their profession because they want to call people to the Almighty. They can't achieve that by doing politics. The Ghanaian says he is religious but his behavior shows otherwise. He is neck-deep in dishonesty and other vices. It means that he has departed from the way of the Almighty he claims to be worshiping. This is because he does no recognize the four enemies of man, namely, Satan, vain glory, the deceitful world and the EGO which is prone to do evil. Satan works with the other three evils to derail the human being. When his happens he can not tell good from bad or evil. This I presume is our problem. The voice of conscience has been silenced. The Men of God are the ones who can help to restore this most important feature in us. The NGOs and the politicians can not help us. They are busy following their bad desires, that is, power and money. The priests should use their religious education to correct our bad habits. The churches are places for cleaning the hearts. Every Sunday worshipers rush to the churches for spiritual help but they are bombarded with political messages. If the priests abandon their call and take up politics, it will not serve us any good. Let the churches be free from politics and any politician who wants to use them for campaign must be rejected. The Almighty is Pure. He detests dirt so the priests have a duty to help their church member to stay clean. We have NGOs dealing with political matters and related issues. Not long ago one priest remarked that Ghanaians say they are religious but the country is full of vices. We have imprisoned people for corruption, we have had coups because of corruption and have also punished some with death for being corrupt. We have not achieved much. Men of God, teach us to love Allah Almighty, teach to fear Him, teach us to obey Him and teach us to know that we are naked before Him. He Sees and Knows all tnat we do. Nobody who loves another person will misbehave in the presence of the loved one. Also nobody will misbehave in the presence of the one he fears. May Allah Almighty Forgive us and Help us to find our way to His Pleasure. Amin Men of God leave politics alone and help us to approach our Lord with clean hearts.
