CAF is just reinforcing the fast growing trend of thinking in the west especially Europe, that Africa does not deserve to be helped. How can you contemplate the idiocy and recklessness of staging a continental football tournament in the midst of this pandemic, while you are screaming for help from others who are sensibly taking care of themselves. Maybe we should let ebola just wipe us out, then we will not be a burden to the rest of the world.

This is the time for all nations in Africa to boycott AFCON 2015 as a campaign to fight Ebola. I don't know what we loose if AFCON 2015 is not played compared to the potential danger of propagating Ebola with this tourney. Issah Hayatu I think has been paid to help spread Ebola in Africa. Hayatu is simply a fool and he is not ready to listen to good council. Thank you Morocco for being bold, Nigeria, don't host AFCON 2015, please.

I believe strongly that some Africans, have lost their brains, when it comes to reasoning. With this sort of problem of ebola on the continent, why should we think about African cup? It`s hard time we start reasoning well for us to be known that we`re human beings. We behave as animals just as the whites treat us. Your brother or sister is dying and they`re buried just we bury animals and you`re thinking about football.

I`m right to say that simply because of the way we behave! If anything serious should happen in any developed country where they know it`d be dangerous to the citizens, they won`t act the way we`re acting. Stupidity is killing us so we have to follow the same stupid leaders for our down fall and the white man would continue to tell us that the black man can`t reason well. Our thinking is as just as our skin dark.

He has to give money back to the sponsors and he wants the money more than saving lives.

If you watch BBC, CNN and other credible news outlets and see interviews with infectious disease specialists, you will understand that this is a situation where the percentage of infection is extremely low even in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia. It is important to build medical infrastructure and prepare and pay healthcare professionals. However, it makes no sense to shut down commerce. Keep in mind that CAF and all the African football associations stand to lose bit time when the TV contracts and sponsorship monies are lost. Not playing the tournament is not really going to help anything.
Morocco has chosen to protect its valuable European tourism industry over the tournament. That is fine but they should not expect not to be punished.

We had a lecture from a doctor on this sickness and his analysis indicate that this is not the time to play about as we are doing. The sickness is dangerous and no doctor is prepared to ricks his/her life.

You see, the next step will be closing shipping ports, closing airports, goods get expensive and finally we get civil and political unrest. The focus is on making sure funding used properly for medical infrastructure and paying healthcare workers. Stopping a football tournament actually does not help much. It gives others excuses to isolate Africa and lead Africa to its downfall.

Look, if you're being objective than these countries will not qualify for AFCON, but if you want to make it a case of truly being patriotic than all West African nations would have to pull out and let East, South and North contest the tournament. Although, to me, this would be an overreaction.
If we want to fight the disease than knowledge and a shared action to help access to these communities affected is needed, medicines, medical staff, quarantines. Stopping AFCON may make you feel better or that somehow it is going to help fight Ebola, but if Morroco is ok to host a world club tournament INCLUDING African clubs than you see the hypocrisy in its stance. This is not about love for CAF, this is asking the stating AFCON can continue without ECOWAS if needed (or if people are that fearful) but to pretend that Morrocco is doing this out of some sense of loyalty to the rest of Africa is deluded, unless it's ok for Morroco to go ahead because CAF's representatives in the competition are N Africans.

During tournaments! many people will watch in groups either at the stadium or sports bars or where ever.Granted there is a new case no matter the source, contact tracing will be a big problem.
Lets reason up and wait until it is down.
