Mr. Writer, just in case you did NOT know, the DEMOCRACY you are referring to is the ONE for WHITES ONLY and Civilized Countries.
The Democracy for AFRICANS and the BANANA REPUBLICS is the type that REWARDS the CORRUPT in Society and SCHEMES the very people it is to Protect and ENCOURAGES ALL MANNER of SCAMS because it guarantees the SCAMMERS, who most often are bed fellows of those in Authority, that they will never be PROSECUTED or made to account for the ILLS against the Ghanaian people.
As it is with every GOOD IDEA from White Establishments, ours as Black People is to make the Corrupt Few Beneficiaries rather than the larger Society it must benefit.

We are currently begging the Chinese for a $3 billion loan. This amount is something we can easily raise just from our two ports at Tema and Takoradi if we had watertight prudent revenue management system in place. Import and Excise duties we collect from these ports alone is enough to generate this amount but because of corruption and the fact that we have failed as a nation to confront corruption and punish same severely, millions upon millions of dollars of revenue that should have gone into state coffers to build infrastructure, and put in place social intervention and poverty reduction programs and help develop the country find their way into private bank accounts day in and day out.

Tribal boy, Ofosu-Appiah
How the hell do you think all those things you crowed about can happen when your jungle ape kufour decorated himself, not before fixing his own retirement package! Sold Ghana Telecomm and pocketed the money, not before dismantling Nkrumah’s precious Ghana Airways. Now lives in multi-million dollar mansion, not before looting poor Ghana’s resources to build a multi-million dollar hotel, a multi-million dollar supermarket. Not before spending over $2,000,000.00 of the country’s money, globe-trotting and sleeping in a $1,000/day hotels, (don’t ask me, CHECK WITH THE AUDITOR GENERAL!! ) Not before commandeering public and private lands, and then giving out government properties, including cars to his cronies and ministers FREE before leaving office…
Any idea, the government is spending over $250,000 a year on kufour (his retirement package –fixed by himself, his pension, health/life insurance, medical checksups, his travels around the world for life, his driver, cook, an “army of police and guards, all paid for by the poor, poor Ghanaians! (Again. Don’t ask me. ask the Auditor-General!
WHERE WERE YOU, tribal country boy??

I am sure those who need to know this will read this piece, but whether they will accept and practice all that is said, is another issue. The Homeland is a failed nation, that is the simple truth. We need not go for any loans from anywhere. We can easily generate those loans here in Ogyakrom, but for greed and corruption, we have to go begging the Chinese and the IMF for funds to carry out projects. The vagabonds now in power will never listen and the inhabitants of the Homeland will never learn. Kleptocracy and not democracy is what we have in the Homeland. Grab, grab and grab, led by the Chief Vagabond who goes by the name Mahama. A real Banana Republic.
