Abukari, are you implying that it was my responsibility to have made the present context of Prof. Asare's argument relevant for present purposes?
Well, I have just gone back to read a large portion of the original argument, which is characteristically so convoluted that it does not clearly articulate the precise position of the plaintiff then, as even now.
At any rate, the question here is not about "bigness" or "apologies." It is patently and inescapably about clarity of communication.
Would you also blame me for Prof. Asare's "noisy" communication? Come on!

Further, when corrected, you lack the dignity to acknowledge your mistake but blame it on the man's communication? If you know him as well as you are claiming, you probably would have called him to find out what he was talking about that.

Prof, if you are accurate that the matters Prof Asare raised in his article on Ghanweb yesterday were unnecessary, how do you explain why the Chief Justice went back to Parliament to swear the Speaker into office as acting president for the second time in aweek?
There is a developing constitutional crisis in Ghana where the Speaker with some elements have usurped the powers of the Supreme Court to interpret the constitution and in doing so have violated the separation of powers between the three arms of governance (the Executive, Legislature and the Judiciary).
For some of us Prof Asare has been consistent in raising constitutional matters through his articles and his legal actions challenging constitutional violations at the Supreme Court. For example, the current problems would not have arisen had the Supreme Court reasoned with him in his suit in 2003 (Asare v Attorney General [2003-4] SCGLR 823], which the Supreme Court held that “the purposive interpretation to be given to Article 60 (11) is that where both the President and the Vice-President are absent from Ghana, they are to be regarded as unable to perform the functions of the President and thus the Speaker is obliged to perform those functions.” In today's IT world, how can a president be unable to perform his/her functions when away from the country on official duties? It's absurd.
We may not always agree with him but Prof Asare has been consistent, very intellectual and intelligent.

Okoampa is someone who sees himself as never making mistakes. This means even if he sees that he has made a mistake or simply goofed, he will still come out defending himself and, privately, go into a state of denial. Okoampa does not have "Sorry, I made a mistake" in his arsenal. The man is always right.
Oh, I never knew Kwaku Asare is also of Akyem stock. This explains why he and Okoampa are die hard supporters of NPP. Sometimes, one sees clearly that some of Asare's complaints against the constitution, especially the powers of the President, are more because of the current occupant of the post than any principled stand. This means Asare would not have been complaining if it is an NPP man occupying the post. This is a huge pity.
But of Okoampa and Asare, the latter is by far the better guy. Asare, at least, holds his partisan concerns in check and makes far better arguments than Okoampa. There is another big difference between the two. Asare does not come throwing his weight about on ghanaweb calling himself Dr or Prof (I write these terms without the period which is acceptable practice in modern British journalism) yet he is each of these. Okoampa must always appear here with his PhD leading him. This makes him address Asare as Prof even though the gentleman refrains from calling himself such.
Anyway, I live in Europe where calling oneself professor (or Doctor) is looked down upon as unnecessary posturing.

thinking about things .As my master,Ahoofe said , to use common sense to think .
Too much of book makes you fool When you don't relate what you read to reality and keep your mind always in the abstract world .
Every education has to have bearing on our lives and reality .
Our Profs and Docs are glued to just books which don't solve any problem .They are married to theories yet never apply it .
What a stupidity is that .
Those back home want to be called Docs and Profs if you don't call them such names, they become angry .We must change .
Thanks Mr. Ahoofe .

What the sentence means is that one Asare sued the Attorney General because the Speaker was being sworn in while the President and Vice President were absent from the country. Asare thought it was unconstitutional to do that.
The Supreme Court disagreed with Asare and the Supreme Court said “the purposive interpretation to be given to Article 60(11) is that where both the President and the Vice-President are absent from Ghana, they are to be regarded as unable to perform the functions of the President and thus the Speaker is obliged to perform those functions.”
It is not Asare who is doing a purposive interpretation and nothing in that short article can lead anyone who understands class 6 english language to come to the conclusion that you have come to.
But I understand that you are not an english man and may not have understood what Asare was saying, which frankly was teasing the Court
