I think there are many in the party who think along these lines but dare not say it. Everyone wants to be a team player and the team is the one led by Akufo-Addo. Any other team is made up of "traitors".
But I think the Nana worshippers are reasoning that if he lost narrowly two times in the past, and the Mahama regime has not produced any magic, then Akufo would win this time by default or some law of averages, not by any intrinsic qualities in him.
Only time will tell if this logic is sound. But the writer is right that Nana hasn't really added much to his positive virtues (the acceptance of the SC verdict is really nothing that will impress non-NPP people) whereas all his negatives remain.
The man may be intensely loved by some people but he is just simply loathed by others...
