This very piece and its sequel are meant to correct the distortions (and misconceptions) some writers introduce into their work when comparing Obama and Nkrumah.
The Obama administration is not "democratic" or "liberal" as some think. I have provided some national statistics and additional evidence to support my views.

Africa does not really need your kind of strong men because "might does not make right." It's right that makes might. "(Barack Obama).
The strongmen Africa needs are leaders who are obsessed with the promotion of the democratic rights of the people and who will champion and invest in the building of truly independent, strong state institutions but certainly, not autocrats and dictators, not even the benevolent dictator because we, the people, are endowed with inalienable rights from our Maker, regardless of where we live.
I don't even give a tinker's damn about what you call democracy because your infallible super hero, Dr Kwame Nkrumah was not a democrat like Barack Obama.
